In all honesty, the No. 2 goalie was probably the better goalkeeper as both of the goalkeepers are about the same age, but he got sent to Barcelona, and subbed in for 1 game, and lost 4-1, and was benched, and has lost a lot of confidence in himself since. If he can return to the kind of form that would have made him competitive to get a spot on Barcelona, then we could really be okay. I'm really more concerned with not having Mehmet Aurelio if Emre can't get back from his muscle tear. That would mean no real playmaker in the middle, unless they move Tuncay to the middle (which is a defensive liability).

yeah rustu is a good sane goalie. not likely to be enough to progress against croatia but they'll probably try and play a tight, tactical game and nick it. croatia are favourites to progress though.

of course, seeing the way my predictions have been going this tournament, it'll probably end up 5-4.
