Liverpool still with way too much to do in the table

only real chance they have is if they win out and Yoo slips up against Villa AND Arse

I just saw the goals - piss poor defending from Vidic on that Torres goal and same from O'Shea before the Dossena chip

There wasn't much VDS could do on any the goals except maybe the Torres goal but it was a quality finish

yeah, Torres' goal was vintage Torres...that's just his style...goals like that are the reason he finished third for WPOY

Yeah, as much as I hate to say it, there was no way United were the better side. We got manhandled.

Maybe if Scholes, Giggs, and Berbatov had played from the very beginning... or Fletcher..

Anderson and Carrick vs Gerrard, Mascherano and Alonso never looked like a good matchup.

^ Alonso didn't play. Think he was suspended. It was Lucas out there.

Shit, that's right.

Well X him off of that list, because Lucas is shit.

But Mash and Stevie G bossed the midfield.

No idea, honestly. Maybe SAF wanted to give the youngins a run-out.

But I think results would've been different had Berbatov been holding up the ball, and had Giggs and Scholes been providing the balls through the middle.

Looks like Liverpool is going to move with in one point of ManU with a 5-0 drubbing of Villa.

wow

Liverpool really capitalized on their chances in that first half because Villa outplayed them for 20-25 minutes and Carew had two really good chances that Reina came up huge on

you knew it was over after the 3rd, Gerrard added a 4th, and then Villa got hit with an extremely harsh red card on Friedel. Sucks for him, because it's going to end his consecutive starts streak

Quote :
"The Guardian quotes Ferguson as saying about Scholes's dismissal for deliberate handball, two yards from the United goal: "He could have easily not given it. But it's Phil Dowd, so what do you expect?"

He went on to question the decision to send Rooney off for two acts of dissent, the second throwing the ball in the vague direction of the referee, but with enough force to send it well beyond where United had a free-kick.

"Did Rooney throw the ball at the referee? The ball was thrown direct to where the free-kick was taken and did it hit the referee? No, the ball didn't hit the referee. Was it thrown in anger? Yes, because he wanted the game hurried up, he threw with pace to get the game going." "

and ManYoo fans wonder why some people hate them so much, Ferguson is such a prick

anybody that does not think that was a red and does not think that was a yellow for dissent by Rooney are fucking lying to themselves or they're stupid

This has probably been posted somewhere, but I'll repost if that's the case:

http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/1591030/world_football_challenge_offers_us.html?cat=14

Quote :
"American fans of European soccer will have a unique opportunity to see some amazing teams compete up close and personal this July. The World Football Challenge 2009 will take place in six cities across the United States, including Pasadena, Atlanta and Baltimore. It will feature some of Europe's best teams, including Chelsea, Milan, Inter and one of Mexico's premier clubs, Club America.

The preseason tournament will help to develop international appreciation of the clubs and give fans who aren't able to see the teams on their home soil, an opportunity to see them in the United States.

Peter Kenyon, the chief executive of Chelsea, told The New York Times,

"Broadcasting has enabled clubs to grow their international reach in terms of the number of fans. And it also brings with it the opportunity, and the demands of those fans wanting to not only travel half the world to come to Stamford Bridge, to England, but the ability to take those fans out, which really cements the relationship."

The clubs will play a round-robin tournament from July 19th through the 26th. All the games will be televised on ESPN, ESPN2, Spanish-language network ESPN Deportes and online at ESPN360.com. Courtesy of The New York Times, here is the schedule:

Sunday, July 19
Club America vs. FC Internazionale Milano at Stanford Stadium (Palo Alto, Calif.)
7 p.m. EST on ESPN2

Tuesday, July 21
Chelsea FC vs. FC Internazionale Milano at the Rose Bowl (Pasadena, Calif.)
11 p.m. EST on ESPN2

Wednesday, July 22
AC Milan vs. Club America at the Georgia Dome (Atlanta, Ga.)
7 p.m. EST on ESPN2

Friday, July 24
AC Milan vs. Chelsea FC at M&T Bank Stadium (Baltimore, Md.)
8 p.m. EST on ESPN

Sunday, July 26
AC Milan vs. FC Internazionale Milano at Gillette Stadium (Foxborough, Mass.)
5 p.m. EST on ESPN2

Sunday, July 26
Chelsea FC vs. Club America at Dallas Cowboys Stadium (Arlington, Texas)
7 p.m. EST on ESPN2"

The 2 games in bold appear to be the closest, and the one in Baltimore is certainly relevant to my interests.

i didnt get to watch any games today , but can anyone tell me why foster was playing instead of van der sar? that goal was entirely Foster's fault. and i agree with ^, that was not a luck goal he turned his hips and adjusted his feet quick as hell.
