The smartest move to make was to let copeland score which would have simply shown how classless the decision was.

That's about what I expected out of the game. We played well at times, but had no answer defensively. The only way we beat UNC is if we hold them right around mid 70's to 80. Our offense cannot keep up with them. Anyway, Big Ben sucked today except for his intentional foul.

then why subject yourself to the IC crowds "objectivity" they are as objective as us. Fact of the matter is Copeland went up for a dunk and got fouled hard. It was intentional and was called as such. Copeland went berserk because he got fouled hard, but had he gone for a simple jump shot or pulled the ball out it wouldn't have happened. He was going for the dunk to rub to showboat to his teammates more than anything. Most of the players had stopped playing Ben wasn't going to allow this classless act on Copelands part go unpunished. Roy's teams have a habit of doing this and this time Roy didn't have any of his starters in because thats exactly how Zeller got hurt showboating at the end of a game. Take your road win and get out of the arena don't try to be a poor sport.

I am glad Ben did what he did. Copeland will be fine, UNC got the win and we didn't allow a bullshit dunk at the end of the game. UNC is just another word for Faggot and so are Wut and Diggler.

the game:

-good effort. i give sidney credit for a good game plan here. Ben and Tracy misssed to many layups in the first half to make those 2nd half runs count for much more than motivation. We need to come out of timeouts better, period. Overall great hustle and effort from the team. The crowd was great, if there wasnt a scoreboard you'd a thought it was a tie game most of the time. Copeland is a bench player who got too excited and got fouled hard. you don't try and dunk with 1.9 seconds left in a semi-blowout. (read wolfey's post above, its pretty much spot on). On this night, carolina was the better team, but unlike the fans at chapel hill, when our team was losing and the game was definitely over, there wasn't an empty stadium for our players to play in.

In any event, if State had made half of the missed layups and <5 ft shots the game could have easily been in reach if not gone in to overtime. I think UNC will see a much better NC State team in CH and in the ACC tourney. It almost seems as if at times they were trying too hard and just needed to take a deep breath and relax. Get Fells to be more consistent - dude reminds me a little of Monroe. I believe State is going to be an up and coming team next year and will be a solid contender for top 5 in the ACC in about 2 or 3 years time. Minus the stupidity by both players at the end, I think it was a solid effort by NC State. I saw sparks here and there of a very electric team. Lowe just has to figure out how to keep everyone on that level for more extended periods of time.

I enjoy it when our team wins, as all fans do. However I think for the most part we have some thuggish jackasses on most of our teams. "I want my stats" is usually what is on their mind. They don't have any regard for others on or off the field/court/etc. Hell 3 football players were in the movie theater last night (went to go see Taken) all trying to "holla" at the "shawty" they brought with them. They wouldn't shut the fuck up and kept talking like they were in their GD living room, then one dude had the nerve to take a phone call in the middle of the movie. Arghh...
