The lady who works next door launches the weather balloons and the one she launched at 7pm got sucked up into that tornado as that cell moved to the north. It was so badass!

Is there anywhere downtown with an outside patio that will let me sit with the dog while I eat? I know McCouls won't...

You could always get something to go and sit in Center City Park

^I ended up packing a lunch and bringing it to center city. The issue with getting to go is I have no where to leave the houndbeast while I go in and get it. I miss how dog friendly downtown Charleston is.

Well if you dig hotdogs, there's that hotdog vendor that stands by Center City Park every day. But yeah, other than that you're screwed if you have to walk into a place. Although I have seen several people tie their dogs to lamp posts while they run in to grab their food

Macy would have an anxiety attack if I left her by herself for half a second outside. I wish McCouls would let me hang out there, I'd love to grab an afternoon beer and bread pudding on my day off when I have no one to chill with but the bulldog.

Does anyone have any optometrist suggestions?

I'm blind as fuck and I should probably make an appointment while I still have vision coverage.

which one of you fuckers is taking me on a date to feeney's frozen yogurt bar?!

no but seriously

has anyone been? is it worth it? i love frozen yogurt. especially what this SOUNDS like. it sounds like the kind of place that does it by weight. like they have 8 flavors on tap. you can mix however many you want. put as many toppings on and then they weigh it at the end

its 15 minutes from my house though. it seems like a fatass thing to do to drive there. but it also sounds AMAZINGGGGGG.

Greensboro has the closest Steak 'n Shake to me. That's sad. Get with the program SnS, you're too good to only be in cities.

Oh damn, I am trying to remember a place I went to up on Battleground and New Garden (I think) that specializes in Sunday brunch. I only went there once and it was a few months ago. I will try and find it. >.<

edit: I want to say Village Tavern on Battleground and Westridge but their site is being dumb so I can't confirm that. I will have to ask the girl whom I went there with.

^^Probably Village Tavern. It's in the shopping center with a Kohl's and Harris Teeter I think. Big huge fireplace in the middle of the room? It's a very popular brunch place. Actually the first place I ever ate in Greensboro (10 years ago...)

Here is their brunch menu--note that it downloads a pdf-- http://www.villagetavern.com/pilotFiles/fckPages/file/Menus/greensboro_brunch_jan2009.pdf

The Village Tavern parking lot is ALWAYS full. Never been there myself though.

Made a trip to Jerusalem market and picked up some falafel and jaffa cakes yesterday....great stuff.

i've noticed harris teeter is starting to have some really good organic and natural options so that might be a good alternative if that's what you're looking for. lowes usually has a lot of gluten/casein free stuff that is a little cheaper than whole foods. trader joes would be nice though since it is so cheap.

i go to this lady in high point who does my mom's hair. she's pretty much the only person who has ever cut my hair since i moved to north carolina. i don't really like change
there is a place on eastchester i went to once when i really fucked up my hair when i let a friend dye it while we were drunk. the chick there did a great cut/color job. i wish i could remember the name. it was expensive as fuck though.

i'm not sure about lowes in the greensboro area. come to think of it, i'm not sure i'd even heard of it til i came to raleigh. apparently there are two - guilford college rd and old oak ridge. not exactly close to you though.

There is a salon on high point road near where the kol hyang market is.

Are you familar with the sedgefield crossing cinemas that is on high point road down the street from kol hyang and jerusalem market? It's in the same shopping center. I believe there is a Hancock Fabric store their also.

They are really good.

If you want a market that is much larger than the Kol Hyang, try Super G Mart on 4927 West Market St. The prices are pretty good.

http://www.progressionssalonandspa.com/

wife goes there and is happy with her hair. Wife says the girl that cuts her hair is named Jennifer.

Also there is a Lowes Food off the Byran Blvd exit and New Garden. The Teeter and the yogurt shop is on one side of the exit and the Lowes is on the other side.

[Edited on May 14, 2010 at 7:32 PM. Reason : fing lowes]
