Got worked pretty bad today (B. Edwards, T. Ginn, R. Brown, S. Jackson all sucked today) so who should I drop (not dropping Jackson)and who should I claim on waivers.

On the bench who also sucked today:
Berrnard Berrian
Knowshon
Kevin Walter
Chester Taylor
Cutler
LeSean McCoy

Available on waivers:
Patrick Crayton
Devery Henderson
Jamaal Lewis
Donald Brown
Le'Ron McClain
Ernest Graham
Steve Smith (NYG)

1st off, calm down.

It's only week one.

Secondly, FUCK YEAH, RODGERS TO JENNINGS FOR THE BOMB! Rockets me ahead of the other best team in the league (from a roster standpoint) with me only having SD's Defense.

I have Brady and Kaeding vs his Rivers and Gostkowski. I'm down 22 points (Mostly thanks to Willie Parker and Greg Olson). However - We are playing in a bizarro league where passing yards are 10 for 1 point and all tds are 7... so I have a shot at it. Brees was worth 75 points or something yesterday.

I was down about 20 points going into my match-up last night, with Jennings and the Packers D/ST left to play. Thank you Jay Cutler for granting my D extra points and Aaron Rodgers for hitting Jennings on that late TD to give me the W.

But screw you Fasano for your big -2.

I scored 145 points in my 12-man league, have a 63 point buffer against my opponent, all he has is Rivers left to play. Brees with 48 points, Holmes had 19, Giants DST had 19, it was a solid day =)

ok so I need to make a decision about my backup receivers

right now, I have the following on my bench:

Ted Ginn Jr
Chansi Stuckey
Devin Hester

Hester isn't going anywhere, obviously. Ginn Jr makes me a little nervous though.

Patrick Crayton is still available and I have a feeling that Romo is going to target him more this year than he did last year. Also Devery Henderson is available too. Should I make a move? If so, who should I add?

Advice thread...not a "I have X points and my opponent has Y points and I still have Brady"

Don't talk about your team just for shits and giggles...we know you care about your precious team, but NO ONE else cares.

please answer the question posted above you if you are going to participate in this thread

bitching about what everyone else is posting is just as pointless as discussing your remaining available points

^^ calm down.

It's week one of the season. Going forward, we certainly want it that way, but people are excited and want to share.

It's kinda like an AA meeting. Nobody cares that YOU are a drunk and trying to get help, only that I am the drunk that needs help.

But if you can't vent here, where else could you?

I personally don't care what people discuss in this thread as long as they at least "try" to follow the questions that get posted.

I'd drop Ginn Jr. for Crayton in a heartbeat. I kept Ginn all last year thinking that pennington would start throwing to him, but it never happened. He is a longball guy playing with a QB who has a weak arm.

I'm going to deploy my new FF strategy. Start whatever defense is playing against Delhomme on a given week. I think it should be good for at least 25-30 points a week no?

That is a weakness in my plan, but McCown is no stranger to retarded interceptions either. My plan could work if the Panthers trot out a steady stream of interception machines for the next few weeks at least.

up until the Cardinals game last year, he wasn't a bad player

but anyway there are many threads focusing on Jake and the Panthers

back to fantasy, supposedly Anthony Gonzalez could miss the next 2-6 weeks

he wasnt a good player either

he has never been a good player

he is average at best and is NOT a franchise quarterback as he has been portrayed to be by some

but yes, bttt

Anyone think McCoy will be good this year?

I probably had the worst fantasy week in my life. Some of my performances:

Andre Johnson - 3 pts
Santana Moss - 0.6 pts
Steve Slaton - 3.2 pts
Josh Brown - 0 pts

I'm behind in all 4 of my leagues. My main league I'll catch up and win as long as Rivers gets 14 points vs the Raiders.

Another league I'll need Brady to throw like 5 TD's and Vincent Jackson to catch like 3.

For those with the Bears D/ST and for teams facing the Bears this year:

Urlacher out for season.

Big blow to that D.

It is a big blow, though I was surprised to see them continue to play very well in the 2nd half against a great offense with him out.

They will be hurt by this, but by no means crushed. They've got some depth on D.

billyboy, wherever you are... my bad (start Parker over Williams)

^^^^ I'd pick Crayton

check this:

WR
Boldin
Lance Moore
Roy Williams
Dwayne Bowe

I see Crayton and Manningham are listed as FA's in my league... should I pull the trigger on one and let someone go? Who would you go with?

RE: Urlacher out... heard there were some talks going on with Derek Brooks FWIW

Any reason to hold on to Mike Bell for now? My league has a small bench, and I really need every spot for WRs.

^ you mean, other than this?

Quote :
"Mike Bell could remain the Saints' starting running back even when Pierre Thomas (sprained knee) is ready to return, according to Brian Allee-Walsh of the New Orleans Times-Picayune.

Bell possesses the qualities that the Saints covet in a featured back, as he runs hard between the tackles and has enough speed and quickness to be a threat. Bell broke loose for 143 yards on 28 rushing attempts in the season opener against Detroit, and should be scooped up if dangling on the waiver wire in fantasy leagues - especially as insurance if you own Thomas."

there's no way well is the starter once Pierre Thomas gets healthy.

That story was run in a newspaper as a stir-up controversy piece. Heather Dinich might as well have written it...

i like when people come in an talk about their teams as long as they throw a name in with it. it helps when you go back and ctrl-f for names later in the season.

Cooley caught a TD, Shiancoe did not.

Two big players of mine put up very few points: Steve Smith and Michael Turner.

Should I be worried about either of these or will numbers improve? (Damn you Jake!)

^^I'd say Henderson

^I wouldn't worry...even when Steve has had bad QB play (like, David Carr and Vinny Testaverde and shit) he still got like 80+ catches and I think 950 yards and a number of scores

Pierre Thomas and Antonio Bryant aren't exactly "big names" to the average fan...not like REGGIE BUSH or...can't think of a bigger named WR on Tampa...but yeah this is the time to pay close attention to your league's adds and drops...ANDRE JOHNSON HAD A BAD GAME, LEMME DROP HIM FOR MARIO MANNINGHAM

They must either think McNabb's injury is serious and/or not have much faith in Mike Vick to start in week 3
