Clearly I am an elitist, as evidenced by my support of an extremely popular sitcom on a national broadcast network.

That was a good episode. Better than any episode of the Office I've seen in a few seasons.

Chevy Chase is the weakest part of the show and I assume that he was given the part to earn the producers some sort of tax write off.

You must not be good at watching The Office. I thought the wedding episode of The Office was better than the most recent episode of Community.

Roughly. All the non-combat stuff plays out exactly like that. DM describes scene and all non player-characters. Players describe what they do. If everyone at a DnD table was an outgoing actor then it would probably be exactly like that. My group is fairly engaged during the non-combat encounters.

They were playing 2nd edition though, so that was before Wizards of the Coast bought TSR and turned it into a miniatures-based game and make it much more combat oriented. Back then, even the combat was all "I say what I'm doing and then someone rolls to see if it works".

And Annie was looking great in that sweater in the first scene. Too bad she didn't wear it throughout the rest of the show. I think they need to do more to show off her boobs. That is my one and only complaint with the show.

Strong episode overall, really funny and sweet. I'm not an Andy Dick fan by any means but I thought they used him pretty effectively and in small enough doses that he didn't start to irk me.

i have loved almost every community ep, but this one was weak for me.

if memory serves, valentine's day eps of most of the thurs nbc shows are usually weak. for instance, wasnt a huge fan of this week's 30 rock either. the office was ok, i guess b/c it is a show that focuses on the relationships a bit more anyway.

I think the best thing for community would be to kill off pierce and move chang into the group full time

chevy chase is really the weakest part of this show
