If you play top or mid and don't start wards you dumb. Pretty much just look up what Koreans built at whatever the last tourny. I usually go rejuv ward and 6 pots top. When you ward can make or break laning phase.

If you play support and don't buy wards even after the sightstone you are bad. Support rarely needs to buy more than shurelias if you can't initiate or locket/aegis

I'm thinking about trying out a new champ. I've been mostly playing as Sion lately laning with a buddy who usually plays an ad carry with me, or do my own thing as gangplank.

I'm thinking either Xin Zhao or Pantheon. Any thoughts on either of these guys? Looking to switch it up a bit and with XZ i can try out jungling.

pantheon doesnt seem to scale to late game well, though he is better than he was in season 2. xin is decent. ultimately though it just depends on your play style.

xin is incredibly strong in jungle. I wouldn't play pantheon for a while. He can be a pubsmasher if you know what you're doing ... if you dont', you'll get massively pooped on.

Twitch is not the strongest champion in the game by any means. The strongest champion in the game right now is thresh. He is the highest win per pick-ban in LCS. I'd say MAYBE win nhao is the only stronger champion but jungling is such a hard role to carry with in solo q

I don't care about LCS. Thresh is the strongest in LCS because of the massive CC he brings to the table, he is basically more reliable Blitzcrank.

Twitch is the best ADC in the game and by far the best for solo q stomping.

And jungling is the easiest role to carry in solo q with the exception of maybe a few mid champs.

And if you are getting stunned you are doing it wrong. The only time you should be at risk of getting stunned early game is if the opponent has a taric who flash stuns you, or you are just really bad and have no wards. If that happens with any bit of CC from your support you can turn on their adc or just take some damage and invis.

With the upgrade to tower damage it is much harder to dive a Twitch unless they have a jungler who reveals sight like Lee Sin or an adc like Corki.

Twitch dominates levels 1-2 and can come out on top in nearly every 1v1 trade. And late game, good luck.

Okay. Here is how to beat twitch. Pick Cait & pink the entry of their bush near yours. I buy pinks every time I go back as support, usually for river control.

Buy a pink. Most pro supports get kage now on AP. Twin Shadows will rape twitch. The only reason twitch would be good in solo q is if you have a support who doesn't know what to buy / build, aka they don't buy oracles ever.

Basically every team in LCS picks the most fotm solo q picks other than Curse. pr0lly is really the only pro in the NA scene who doesn't pick the standard top champions.

^Right. In league of gapclosers having no escape is incredibly risky. Caitlyn is the safest AD pick in the game.

Is anyone on TWW in LCS?

Unless you are in the 0.0025% of players who are in LCS then who gives a shit. I am talking about in SoloQ. SoloQ where most people don't buy Twin Shadows till late game, and even then don't know how to use it. And you can pink all you want against Twitch in lane, that just means I won't play aggressive and will just farm. If Twitch goes late game with any sort of farm then he should win with any half decent team.

And you just lost all credibility by saying Cait is safer.

The safest AD in the game in lane is Ez by far. The safest AD in the game in team fights is without a doubt Twitch.

Twitch does have one of the best escapes, you just have to be mindful of your surroundings when you use it. Don't expect to be able to jump away at the last second like Ez.

I'm not saying that twich doesn't have a strong late game, but he only works with certain team comps namely Protect the AD carry team comp. This is not the meta anymore. The strongest team compositions are Mids who can roam, with hard engage jungler/top. CLG is the only team that runs a tank meta still and they suck ass. They pretty much only win when hotshot plays Cho because his ap ratios are retarded.

Ezreal has fallen out of favor in S3. I'm not really sure why. MF has a higher win rate and is actually picked. Same with Varus. In order to carry in solo q you need a champion with an incredibly safe early game and strong late game. Twitch does not have the first.

The best hyper carries are Vayne, Kog and then Twitch in that order.

If you watched LCS you'd know that cop got a penta on twich yesterday. But it was against the worst team in LCS.

Seriously though. LCS. I don't understand how you think its not important.

Because in soloq very few strats are actually needed. You don't need a protect the twitch comp to win with twitch. He is the easiest adc to hyper carry with because of the fact that he stands 20 feet away and blasts everyone and can do a fantastic job of avoiding dying.

MF has a high win rate in season 3 because of her ult and black cleaver. Varus has a high win rate because his ult is a better ashe arrow initiate.

And Twitch definitely has a ridiculous early game. He can kill the other adc at level 2 well over half the time, or at least force him to back. Land 1 or 2 autos and an expunge at 1. Just before level 2 start last hitting from the bush and at 2 go invisible. Ignite + 3 autos and an expunge is a dead adc.

Considering you are in Bronze I would bet with any decent amount of skill you could carry yourself well out of it playing Twitch.

Kog isn't the best hyper carry, neither is Vayne. It is funny how you list two adcs who have no escape and an average one at best yet attack Twitch for having no escape. Despite the fact that as long as you hit q with any decent headway you can escape from anything short of running into a pink or someone with oracles, most of which never happen in soloq even at gold I.

Vayne has to get wayy too close to carry. Vayne is one who really needs a protect the Vayne comp. Twitch can sit back with BoTRK proccing 4% chunks on the entire team. Vayne can't do that safely.

i dont watch/follow any of that, but i don't think it is fair to say "you aren't in the top x% so he is awesome." lots of champs are awesome against baddies and against normal people, it's going to be variable at best, particularly with all the leaps and stuns like i said.

Yet his argument for a better hyper carry is Vayne who is even more susceptible to stuns and leaps.

And it is completely reasonable to argue "you arent in lcs". SoloQ is SOLO. You are playing by yourself. You can't plan on your team mates being good, protecting you, etc. You can't plan on your opponents having actually coordinated ganks, because most of the time they don't. Considering the vast majority of players are in bronze/silver, I think it is fair to say that Twitch absolutely destroys those leagues compared to other adcs.

And exactly - things are variable due to stuns and leaps and what not. So why would you not pick the champion with the longest range and biggest attack damage steroid? The reason Kog and Vayne were hyper carries in earlier seasons is due to having the only %hp attack. Everyone has that now due to BoTRK which is why champs like Twitch, Cait and Tristana are becoming hyper carries. Their range is invaluable.

Vayne and kogmaw scale harder than twitch late game. Vayne is the best hyper carry because she can reset her attack animation and basically escape twice / stealth in the middle of team fights.

BoTRK got nerfed. It is not as strong as it was for AD. If you are buying it first on any AD carry in the game you are not being cost effective.

Cait is not a hyper carry. The proper way to play cait is to shit on everyone in lane and force them to farm under lane.

I will say it again. Every team other than Curse in the LCS picks the strongest champions in the game. They mostly play what they play in solo q. The game has moved away from the team meta and to the play your champion meta. You would not know this because you don't watch the LCS. Your argument is basically "0.025% of football players will ever go pro so i'm not gonna watch the playoffs because i'm just playing pickup games".

The meta changes every patch. It changes every balance. 3 weeks ago Jarvan was the strongest jungler in the game. Now it is Xin again. TF and Diana are probably the strongest mids. Rumble & Renekton are the safest top lanes. Thresh and Lulu are the strongest supports. The safest adc is caitlyn. The most viable is MF still. The strongest adc is vayne. That goes for pros and solo q.

What summoners do you use on twich?

ADC1: Range 500, Damage 46 (+3), Attack Speed: .665 (+2.65%)
ADC2: Range 550, Damage 50 (+3.25), Attack Speed: .658 (+3.1%)
ADC3: Range 550, Damage 49 (+3), Attack Speed: .679 (+3.38%)

While ADC 2 will end up with 5.5 more AD then ADC3, ADC3 has a huge attack speed advantage.

Now lets look at skills that will be relevant in a team fight.

ADC1: Passive 30% attack speed bonus, reduces ar/mr by flat 25, range increased to 710 for 8 seconds while dealing 6% of health as damage.
ADC2: Every third hit deals 60 bonus true damage + 8% of targets max health. Bonus 55 damage per auto for 12 seconds.
ADC3: 70% bonus attack speed for 5 seconds. For 7 seconds receives 850 attack range, 36 bonus damage and all shots can pierce opponents. Meaning if you shoot at someone 850 range away and they have someone standing behind them, that person gets hit too for 20% less damage. Or if 5 people are clumped, they all get hit. Also if it crits on one of those people it crits on all of them. And BoTRK is applied on each person hit for 4% health. Each auto also applies a stack of 8 true damage per second which can stack up to 6 times, for 48 true damage per second. These can then be triggered to deal another 400-500ish damage depending on items to each person who had 6 stacks.

Considering the standard build of BoTRK/IE/PD/LW/Boots/Whatever defensive item then yes, ADC2 can massively destroy ADC3 and ADC1 in a 1v1 battle, especially if condemn is landed. If you ask me which of those two are "hyper" carries who can easily swing a team fight in their favor, it has to be ADC1 or ADC3. ADC2 just requires wayy too much positioning and mechanics.

Yes, Vayne absolutely destroys anyone in a fight. But at a great risk. Twitch, Tristana, Kogmaw, Cait all have the ability to put out insane damage from range without much risk to themselves.

But we aren't talking about LCS. You can't use LCS to determine SoloQ champs. There is a reason Eve and Kat both dominate SoloQ yet rarely get LCS play. In LCS you very rarely see hyper carries because most of the time it isn't about feeding one character and letting them dominate, that isn't safe, hence why you see so much MF as she is great at shredding armor in team fights and doing good damage with her ult.

In SoloQ, not LCS, people dont ward, they dont communicate and they aren't as good at looking at their maps. They aren't pros unless you are playing in the highest levels of SoloQ, which based on your lolking you are playing at the bottom, so don't try and call me out on being bad when I would wipe the floor with you.

An ADC who in SOLOQ at 90% of the levels can position himself perfectly in team fights, easily turn mid into a 2v1 with ridiculous invisible ganks, then can shred the entire team in a teamfight? Yeah.

Back to something more productive, I run flash/ignite unless they have taric or thresh, in which case I run flash/cleanse. I build botrk first due to the gank potential with his invisibility. BT shouldn't be build on Twitch in most situations so BoTRK is a better pick. And if you think I am wrong in saying that then just look at the highest ranked Twitch player: http://www.lolking.net/summoner/na/23439668#history, goes basically the same build I do (BoTRK -> IE/PD -> LW).

That is the guy with the most games. There are plenty of people who play a ton of twitch with higher lolking ratings. Again, you are an idiot thinking the only thing that matters is the top 1% of players. I am not arguing twitch should be played in every LCS game.

You are a trash Bronze player who thinks he is good because he watches a ton of LCS, get over yourself.

I watch way more solo q than LCS. I pretty much only watch coL and CRS on the long LCS weeks, but I do look at the matchups and team comps for pretty much every game. Lol you are the one that linked top players. What I am saying is that in a wide range of matches there are way more viable champions than twitch.

Twitch relies on having a support which is not retarded. It is easier to play Vayne with a retarded support.

Look at the lolking champion win rates. Twich is the 2nd highest ad I think but he is played 6% of the games. The only reason he is that high is because he is only played by people who are good with him. Its the same with rumble. Again your mechanics are always more important in solo q.

The main streams I watch:

Voyboy, Destiny (He sucks I know but I like to see him rage when he goes 1/8/2 on Draven), imaqtpie, SaintVicious, TRM (He also sucks I know, but I like to see him get mad when he can't carry with teemo) then I watch some lesser known players. I pretty much leave a stream on whenever I'm on any computer. Listening to people theory craft / strategize / talk about matchups and trades and shit is entertaining to me i guess.

You really want someone with high mobility mid. Diana, Zed, TF, Lux, MAYBE kat/akali are solid picks.

Carrying with rumble just depends on if you get a good ult off or not. I can't count the number of times i've seen a rumble go from 0/3 to 10/3 in a game just due to a few team fights over secondary objectives. I am horrible at rumble but I want to learn him next. He's probably the most consistently highest win rate champion in all of S3. He is very very strong.

I linked someone who plays a ton of soloq, which is where I said Twitch was strong. I didn't link a pro player in LCS.

And if you do want to talk about pros Aphromoo used to play a TON of Twitch back before he started supporting, and that was in s2 where he wasn't nearly as strong as he is now.

You need an AD page and an AP page. Things you might not know you need:

Movement speed quints
1 crit rune for your AD page, its a little thing but it gives you a little bit of an edge against someone who may not have it.

I only have one mastery page that I actually use and I set it up for basically every match.

^ Nice, i was sitting at silver 5 for months and last week went on some crazy winning streak from 0LP to to silver 4. I feel like the losing streak is incoming.

Just started playing cho mid, it feels a little trollish but I run a lot of mana regen grab a chalice around 8min or so which is usually my first back and just farm/poke to mid game. So far I've not been up against anyone that could bully me out of lane and only a few jungle mid combos that successfully gank me (it is low elo). Any champs I shouldn't try that against?

6 item twitch is the most terrifying thing in this game, he scales the hardest because he hits EVERYONE. vayne may kill you 1v1, but twitch will kill your entire team. 1 single cc on vayne in a lategame team fight and a good twitch will have dropped the other team to half by the time by the time she's out.

This. Not only is it the fact that he can hit everyone but you can also blow up their adc/mid/support with ult without even engaging. It generally only takes 3-4 autos once you hit 6 items and if you are coming off invis that doesn't take long. I've had many fights where I've blown up their ADC who is slightly out of position without an engage.
