Samwise16, sorry, but you are completely wrong on this.

Swallow your internet pride for a minute and use both of those brain cells, assuming thinking that much doesn't cause synaptic misfires.

Hey, thanks for putting words into my posts for me. Oh wait, I never said that Muslims were exempt.

I just posted an article and bolded some lines. This isn't some God bullshit were I copy/paste an article and say it was my own.

Btw where the fuck did you get that Obama was a muslim-loving terrorist from the article? Bitch you crazy, reading what you want to read instead of seeing what's on your screen.

This story upset me this morning.

TSA search leaves man flying to Orlando soaked in his own urine

ORLANDO --

Full body scans and probing pat-downs by the Transportation Security Administration have angered not only the public, but politicians as well.

While the TSA said officials will be tweaking passenger screening methods, another angry passenger has also come forward with a disturbing story from a security check.

The man, who was flying to Orlando from Detroit, said he has a medical condition, and was left covered in his own urine after agents searched him.

The 61-year-old passenger said he has bladder cancer, and must wear a urostomy bag under his clothes to collect his urine.

The man said he warned TSA officials the seal of the bag can easily break, but they ignored him, and even rolled their eyes at one point.

Sure enough, the bag’s seal broke, and urine started dribbling down the man’s leg and into his pants.

He said he had to walk through the airport soaked in urine, and then wait until after his flight took off just to clean himself.

The passenger said he had no problems with security at Orlando International Airport as he went to fly back to Detroit.

Officials said expect to see a procedure coming in place shortly that will directly address the pat-down procedures for people with disabilities.

TSA Administrator John Pistole said the agency will work to make the screening “as minimally invasive as possible.”

Meanwhile, U.S. Rep. John Mica, from Winter Park, said the new measures are still evolving, and asked the public to be patient.

“John Pistole just came on board. We didn’t -- and what you’re seeing now, with the pat-downs and implementation of this new technology is just symptomatic: A slight tip of the iceberg of the problems of TSA,” said Mica, who is in line to become chairman of the House’s Transportation Committee.

“We didn’t have an administrator for a year and a half. He’s only been on the job a couple of months,” Mica continued. “I think one of the first things I did to John is I sat down and said, ‘John, have you seen these reports of the failures of TSA?’ And I think he’s trying to react, to make certain that we have some means in place to detect the threat that we face.”

President Barack Obama has already asked if there was a less intrusive way to ensure travel safety.

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said she, herself, would not want to submit to a security pat-down.

But as the busiest travel season of the year begins, an Internet boycott has urged passengers to opt out of full body scans, in favor of the more time-consuming pat-downs.

The boycott is expected to begin Wednesday, and travel experts say that could cause major delays.

If you are planning to fly for the Thanksgiving holiday, you should give yourself extra time to make it through security.

Normally, I think we're a bit lawsuit-happy in this country. But I hope this man sues.

Well honestly if something is against your religion can the government force you to do it?

Seems like those pat downs and body scanners are twice as unconstitutional now.

1st and 4th Amendments?

If I was flying on Wednesday, while it may be embarassing I would totally walk up to the pat down in a swim suit.

^ as said before, flying is a privilege, not a right. If the security measures are against your religion, don't fly.

But also...as said before there are other ways that are more effective and less invasive ways of security.

going upstairs is a privilege, not a right. remove all handicap ramps and elevators.

clean air is a privilege, not a right. smokers can smoke indoors.

privacy is a privilege, not a right. security cameras in the bathrooms.

And as it's been said before, some people have no choice but to fly.

Well they do have the choice to not fly, but they won't be keeping their job very long because they have trips where they get on a plane in the morning and then return that evening...not possible to do in a car, bus, or train.

The thing that bugs me is that, I can either just not fly ever again, or I have to let someone see me pratically naked or let someone feel me up.

I haven't done anything wrong. I am not a criminal, I have not been arrested, why should I have to be searched like I am one?

It's like when they ask to see my receipt as I leave Walmart. I always decline and tell them to call the police if they believe I've committed a crime. Then I drop a DX-style "SUCK IT!" on the elderly greeter and continue to my car.

The greatest protest would be for every dude to decline the body scan and then concentrate really hard on getting wood during the enhanced pat-down.

As long as people are civil when declining the body scan, they should be free to do so. Screw making this guy's job easier if you are concerned about the body scans.

Why should we care about the backlog anyways? Or delaying people to miss their flights. No one has a right to fly right? If they want to make sure they get home on time, they have the option to drive right? Who cares about long lines if everyone submits to the pat down? Isn't that more secure anyways? /sarcasm.

^^I completely agree. She seems like an overreacting nut-job. BUT if TSA did take her son out of her sight, then that is just flat out wrong and not following the protocols THEY have put in place, and they deserve to lose their jobs. Not enough information out there to know if her story is valid though.

I kind of wonder about the whole "they wouldn't let me take the clip off my kid and rescan" thing. Every time there's been a stray dime or something in my pockets they always say, "Make sure everything is out of your pockets" blah blah blah before I get rescanned.

^The new "more strict" rules say that if you go off twice, you HAVE to go through a pat down. So that lady went through and they told her to come back without letting her take the pacifier off and since they are trained monkeys with no sense of reason or discretion, they heard two sirens and so made her go through the pat down.

Yay America.

Another terrorist attack happens...'where the fuck were the security measures, damn you gov't!'

Until then 'what's the deal with these security measures, damn you gov't'

I'm not agreeing or disagreeing with backscatter scanners, the general American populace will never be happy though, it'll always be too much or too little.

I honestly don't care either way, as long as I can get through security in a reasonable amount of time, I don't care if some guy/girl sees my junk on a computer screen

Right, I understand that, but what I'm saying is I'm not sure I believe that they wouldn't let her reempty her pockets, etc, after setting off the detector the FIRST time. Unless that is also part of the new rules they've put in place.

People want security, yes. But its at the point where security is too invasive and many people are not comfortable with the measures at all, especially with easy to implement alternatives that would catch terrorists better and faster. What is the limit, full on cavity searches for every single passenger?
