Yeah Venters is done. Sucks because the Braves will need him in August and Sept. At least it sounds like Beachy is on track.

The Braves just flat out over used Venters. Hopefully the same thing won't happen to Kimbrel.

Hey what a freaking surprise, the Braves offense got dominated again last night. Only a matter of time before this team gets no-hit. I guess my prediction that they would score two runs the next two games may have been too high. Wasted a nice start by Teheran.

So EOF is having his TJ surgery. Sucks that he is gone. I swear the Braves have more guys needing TJ surgery than any other team.

Teheran looked great last night. Braves will have nice starting pitching depth when Beachy gets back, but no bullpen depth now. I assume Wren will be looking to trade one of his SPs for bullpen help later in the season. I assume it'll be Maholm as I cannot imagine he'll want to move Medlen, Minor, Teheran or Beachy and Hudson is obviously not going anywhere. That leave Maholm as the obvious option since he is a FA after the season.

What if they moved Medlen back into the pen? Hes stated before that he is the only guy in the rotation that has the mental make up to make that kinda move. Would be interesting, however Maholm has kinda come back down to earth since his hot start, so moving him could be an option

GG to the Braves for this streak although it has come against garbage teams. Fredi has got to find a way to get Gattis some regular ABs. Dude is averaging nearly 1 HR every 11 ABs. A platoon in the OF and at C giving McCann every 4th day off and then giving BJ Upton and Heyward every 4th day might work. Mix in some rest for Freeman and J.Upton and he should be able to keep everyone happy and still get Gattis 400 ABs.

I think Laird will stick around. 1. they use him with Teheran and I dont see them having a rookie catcher with a rookie pitcher and 2. if they got rid of him then they would lose having Gattis pinch hitting like he is, wouldnt want to pinch hit your back up catcher.

Also, Beachy is starting a game at AAA Gwinnett County tomorrow probably. Could be back in early June although Leo thinks it will be August unless there are injuries to the current starters.
