Ok, we got this wrapped up. Hopefully Petey will pick it up with working with the 1's this week. Coach needs to put the offense around what he can do. Right now it seems he has a slow release, and not much ability to read the D and had some accuracy issues.

Positive is our WR help make some plays and RB's seem to be very effective.

Just got back from the game... A few thoughts.

Offense looked ok at times, but we are gonna rely a lot on the run this year it appears.

Defense was a joke, terrible tackling, they basically fumbled their way to a blowout otherwise this was a close game.

Sherriffs appears to be a tough kid but they are gonna have to let him throw it occasionally or he is gonna become useless. Worked well early but once a team knows Everytime he is in its a QB run that will stop quickly.

Decent first game I suppose but we need a lot of work before ACC play or we will be on the other end of some blowouts.

just got back from the game

this offense was exciting until Mitchell got hurt. then it just hurt to watch.

the defense ( minus the dl, particularly teal and mcgill) isn't good at much.

lots of drinking in store for this year.

^lol. My school years consisted of Marcus Stone,Daniel Evans and Harrison Beck at QB. This offense killed it compared to that. Hell, we still put up 26 points after Mitchell left.

my school years started with rivers senior year, so I got to experience every game of the Jay Davis/ Marcus Stone/ Daniel Evans/ Harrison Beck years. Pete Thomas reminds me of a less athletic Stone. we're fucked.

^Oh come on, Stone couldn't have put up half the numbers that Thomas put up today. Hell, we only put up 242 yds of TOTAL offense against App State. We routinely had <300 yds offensively with Marcus Stone as QB.

I got to see Torry Holt and Barnette when I got to State, then a few years of Rivers, including our best season ever with an 11-3 record

Also was at State when Hodge was here and we beat UNC in bball 4 consecutive games...in fact, our football team won 3 more games than UNC's bball team one year
