We'll see. Cleveland is a one-man team though, Kevin Loverated is gimpy and Kyrie is inconsistent. Meanwhile OKC has 2 of the best players in the league. I mean, this OKC team is on the verge of beating 2 of the best 3 regular season (record) teams in NBA history. Detroit, Atlanta, Toronto is not gonna prepare the Cavs for that.

the way OKC is playing, I don't see them losing to CLE either. they are on another level right now...

Oh yeah, well FUCK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Nah, I mean I can see why you'd think that. It's a distinct possibility. OKC has never looked this good before. I think the biggest difference is Adams. He's been amazing for them and Ibaka looks like the Ibaka from a couple of years ago instead of looking like a homeless man's Kevin Love like he did for the bulk of the season.

I do think there will be some regression on their shooting. No way Westbrook, Waiters, and Roberson all keep shooting the 3 at the percentages they have been this series.

Assuming it is Cavs vs. Thunder it isn't an easy one to call and you can certainly envision scenarios for a hard fought series or runaways either direction.

I like OKC in that Clev-OKC matchup. Lol at the idea of Irving even remotely slowing down Westbrook with his shit defense. Plus the Cavs bigs have been owned by Bismack. Good luck with Ibaka/Adams/Kanter.

Yeah LeBron may be able to shut down Durant, but that would be about it. Plus OKC is playing active, high energy defense whereas the Cavs can't defend a fucking pick and roll between Lowry and Patrick Patterson to save their damn lives.

Kerr just hasnt shown up. They are probably sitting back after these blowouts like "playing this way got us 73 wins so we will just keep doing it" and the games are over in the 1st qtr.

This biggest difference is that they're playing defense. I mean...Adams is great. He's definitely an upgrade over Perkins and Nick Collison (who was solid and is still on the team). But it's not like he's putting up 20 and 10 every game.

It's just that their execution and effort on D has been top notch. And there are no weak links before you get to Kanter. Westbrook/Durant/Ibaka/Adams/Roberson and even Waiters has taken it up a level. The Warriors just can't handle this length and athleticism.

Probably true, which would have been a crazy thing to say at the beginning of this series.

Problem is that they have a real problem against OKC's half court defense. Again, not something you would have thought at the beginning of the series.

Bottom line, GSW have to find a way to be semi competitive on the boards ans/or shoot like normal from 3.

Adams might be the best all around big man in the game right now... just a monster. He is getting awfully banged up though. That could kill them against cleveland. What a great job he's done guarding curry.

You gotta remember cleveland doesn't have a lot of worthless offensive players like bogut and barnes. Though they may be forced to play Shumpert some

Gsw defense has not been good. Kyrie will not guard rwb they will hide him on roberson. They will either use Delly, shump, or lebron at times on westbrook possibly.

Okc kinda looks like the favorites because they can defend the perimeter but lebron can get penetration that the warriors haven't been able to thus far. Also you can't leave Frye or love wide open like you can bogut and green.

Durant shot has been kinda off for most of the postseason and he hasn't done well with lebron checking him historically. Thompson can bang with adams.

And lol at westbrook telling Donovan to get kanter donkey ass out of the game last night

I can't remember a more boring playoffs in any other year, in any other sport. Every game is a blow out. The most exciting player in the league has been unremarkable. And the amount of complaining after every call is at an all time high. SAD!!

i think everyone was hoping for a heat/cavs playoffs though. with whiteside going down and valaniutas also (sp.) that skewed the heat/raptors series. realistically we assumed GS would run the table.

however, i think russell westbrook had a case for being MVP. guy is a monster and decimater. he's stephen curry with the added ability to drive the lane and make plays. i'd hoped that anyone who follows NBA would have guessed OKC had a realistic shot at a title this year.

Cleveland looks good, real good. they have some hot shooters and with a healthy irving/love i think they have a realistic shot. i think an OKC/Cleveland series will be the best finals we've seen since the miami/spurs back in 2013.

I'm honestly surprised westbrook didn't even get 1 vote for the MVP. watching him play in the western conference finals, he looks like a transcendent.

^ really? curry is literally a shooter, while westbrook is more of a lane driver. i've seen curry drive the lane a few times but he's weaker at making 2-pointers than westbrook is. if it were up to me, i'd say westbrook is the better athlete overall.

He probably is the most ahtletic PG ever. If you include SGs he moves down the list, but he's still top 10, maybe top 5. He's a much better athlete than Wall, and I love John Wall. However, he's probably as fast with the ball but he's much stronger and explosive by a wide margin.

Yeah, comparing him to Steph is crazy, they almost couldn't be more different. As several people in the media have pointed out this week, if Steph isn't shooting well he's not that useful. He's not a great defender, he's not a real drive and kick threat, and he isn't a pass first creator (he's not bad at it, but he's not great at it). When he is shooting well Golden State is a transcendent team because of everything his shooting opens up.

Curry is Federer, Westbook is Nadal

Curry is as fluid as anyone has ever been. Westbrook is as athletic/aggressive as anyone has ever been.

Curry finds insane ways/angles to get by, whereas Westbrook is ecstatic to run you the fuck over

etc...

Curry led the league in field goal percentage around the basket he's like 67%.

As amazing as westbrook is as a driver a lot of times he falls down and it leads to a basket st the other end.

Curry is hurt you could obviously tell he can't finish in this series that's why they keep switching on him.

He had 1 three pointer blocked in 2 years and he had 2 this series

Yes, that's true, and he can finish in traffic, but Westbrook is a much better driver. Westbrook averages 10 drives per game compared to Steph doing 6.5 per game. Westbrook scores 6.1 pts/game on drives and scores on 61% of his drives compared to Steph scoring 3.3 pts/game and scoring on 50% of his drives.

Steph gets a lot of easy layups off of back cuts, picknrolls, etc. Westbrook attacks more.

http://stats.nba.com/tracking/#!/player/drives/?sort=DRIVES&dir=1

I agree about his health, he's still not at 100%, but that's sort of a "who gives a shit" to me. It's the playoffs, almost no one is totally healthy.

Clearly westbrook is the better athlete but curry isn't just a shooter. He scores in a lot of ways and He's also a good rebounder.

Westbrook also has huge lapses on defense when he gambles or just forgets what he's doing. Or stretches where he throws up bricks...

I'd rather have curry obviously if both are healthy.

Golden states supporting cast is highly overrated. And Kerr has done a bad job in this series.

They got to stop that gimmicky defense, roberson killed them last game.

Also they need to start ezeli. Bogut is hurting them this series. Green is getting absolutely destroyed by okc size.

So how much more athletic is Westbrook than Zach LaVine? 10x more athletic? 50x more athletic? Since RW is apparently the best athlete ever to play the guard position.

Yeah, you're right. Regular season it was 10.1drives/50.6%/7.1pts for Russ, 6.3/56.5%/5.2pts.

Still, pretty big disparity. Russ is finishing better in the postseason, Steph is doing a worse job finishing.

Well yeah he's hurt. He's doing little flips and shit over durant and adams while they clutch and grab him off the ball.

I think a setback in the postseason is just gonna make him stronger for next year. But they need to get him some more help in the offseason

Thunder have a tough decision with waiters and they need to dump kanter somehow before adams is eligible for his max deal

I'm sure you're kidding about jefferson he can't shoot threes, defend or rebound. Doesn't add anything.

Batum is resigning in charlotte and derozan is not a 3 pt shooter. They don't need batums playmaking or bad defense.

They need a more mobile big man. Ezeli is perfect if he could just stay healthy. Too risky for the money though in my opinion.

As crazy as it sounds to rebuild a 73 win team i would do it. I wouldn't want to lock guys like barnes up to big deals and risk ruining curry/thompson prime title contending years.

They dont really need more shooters. They need someone who can draw two defenders to the paint so they can cut down the turnovers.

gsw gave up 9 extra shots in the first qtr. you don't really stand a chance of winning a game where a team gets 3 possessions for every 2 of yours.

DG got a tech for fouling Durant on a 3 pointer, so he will be suspended IF there's a game six. I mean I guess he had it coming, but I saw zero reason for a tech.
