this sucks, i can't sell back my vacation days til i've been with the company for five years

now i've got seven days of vacation and i have to use it by the end of the year or lose it...i had planned all year to sell back a week and get paid for it

now what am i gonna do with those days?

nope, vacation is either used, sold back, or lost. sick days roll over, personal days (few and far between) are rolled over, but vacation is forfeited at year's end if not used or sold back.

she says that the policy isn't to "punish employees", but to encourage employees to take vacation.

damnit, i don't want to take vacation. vacation costs money, which i don't have. and i have no desire to take days off and sit around doing nothing. god freakin' damnit.
