Our defense is terrible, especially Brooks who constantly lets people get behind him. Please bring Beslar back, he can't be any worse than this. Bradley was pretty unimpressive all tournament, we need to find someone else to take set piece crosses, he wastes about half of them. Maybe I am spoiled from when Donovan was around and he rarely hit bad ones. Please bring back Feilhaber, he actually has some creativity to his game. Corona was pretty worthless.

I don't follow soccer very closely, but I do remember hearing how much US Soccer is growing and how things are looking up for the future and what not after the world cup last year.

Now all of the sudden, we should be worried about the future? What changed, besides losing when we shouldn't have, in a year?

That's how being a US Soccer fan works. We're so used to dominating our region that any time we lose, it's the end of the world. Just go back and read the reactions after we lost to Honduras in 2013 to see how everybody thought we were doomed and JK couldn't cut it, etc.

He's definitely been propped up by the fans, but he's also had some sensational games in a US shirt that people remember too. On the Roma thing, he was never going to be a good fit for the Italian game with how physical they are in the midfield. Serie A sucks anyway.

I don't think Bradley is overrated. I think people know he is good player and within the USMNT a very good player to have, simply because there is no one else in the midfield that can do what he does. He isn't a top European player and he never will be. However he is a top USMNT player because the talent just isn't there at the moment.

I know I would rather have Bradley than not have him in the current USMNT set up. I am still disappointed by his last World Cup. He played very well in the lead up and then just disappeared, that Portugal match being the worst of them.

^ I don't think its useless for the US to be competing against some of the best teams in the world and try to win a tournament like the confed cup. It only raises the brand value for football here in America but more importantly gives us a very good gauge on our squad one year before the tournament.

I wasn't American during the confed cup run we had in South Africa but my mates were ecstatic with the Spain and Brazil matches.

^Agreed! I think it really helped in 2010. That group of players had experience in 2 Gold Cups, Copa America, the 2008 Olympics, U-20 World Cup, and Confederations Cup. It's not a bad thing for some of the younger players to get put in a tournament environment while wearing a USA jersey.

We were totally outclassed by Brazil. Our team looked so much slower than them, other than Yedlin. Bradley had another subpar performance, he is too slow against teams that play with any pace.

They have expanded and its usually not bad as long as it isn't packed to the point where there is no room to move. I think the World Cup crowds were an exception, probably won't get the same turnout for this.
