Um, he looked like a genius then. That ball was going in with less than 10 seconds in the game. Doesn't matter who won the S.O. Lucky for Uruguay, Ghana was an embarrassment at 2 out of 5 for the match. there was no way Ghana was going to win in a S.O. after the extra time miss.

I know next to nothing about soccer, but I'd assume rule number one is putting it on goal, above all else. The next thing I'd do is get a leading start to get some power and not give it away to the keeper which way I'm going.

I simply think PKs are a wholly unsatisfactory way to end a game. they can be fun, but fair? definitely not.

As someone who has thrown a stick at a puck headed towards an open net in a hockey game and then stopped the ensuing penalty shot, that handball ruled.

Cory Gibbs had a similar handball in the '03 Gold Cup semifinal against Brazil. Keller didn't stop the penalty, but still.

i know why suarez did it, but i just hate that he did. this diving asshole comes up the ultimate victor in the end, because he's been cheating his way to the top.

the ball was going in, it should count as a goal, i don't care about the red card. i know the rule, but i don't like that a clear goal gets taken back as a penalty because someone blocked it with his hand on the goal line. the fact is, ghana was scoring a goal, suarez took advantage of a stupid rule.

the rule should be more like goaltending in basketball.
