No youve got it all wrong. The criticism is just meaningless sports conversation. No one is ever going to be fired because of a message board post. Yow doesnt consult messageboards to figure out how to do her job. Recruits arent even reading this to figure things out.

not only spent a cup of coffee there, but averaged like 36 ppg in his two games in the DL. And since been in the NBA and contributed.

Only reason he was in the DL was due to his injury....just getting some playing time after healing up.

every single blue chip recruit should go to kentucky, kansas, unc, or duke and that is all. no other school should be able to attract good recruits. ever. them's the rules.

Thats a pretty silly statement considering most of those guys went on to immediately star in the nba. Players who are ready to make an impact on nba games have no business in college. Gotts players dont reach that point earlyand leave but seem to give up early on his ability to ever get them there. His players never reach the level that cals reach in 1 year and instead have sought out other mesns of DEVELOPMENT

Even if we played your game and said it was a huge flaw. Why would you fire a coach for a flaw when he consistently makes the final 4.

I dont even think we should fire gott for his TWO huge flaws because he is consistently making the tournament. Once the results fade away, any coaches flaws start to become a bigger deal to people.

^^ it's an NBA-level arena. It hosts another pro league and has all the amenities of other NBA arenas built around the late 90s-early 2000s. It's sure closer to it than the airplane hangar in Chapel Hill.

honestly as a program we just arent built to go on the road against big 10 teams. we've purged most of our complete idiot players (pg aside) but this is still mostly a team of athletes who are good on offense because they hit hard shots who have no fucking clue what theyre doing on defense outside of "try to get anya or washington to block the shit out the ball"

given all that, being in this game against a probable mid seed purdue isn't an uncredible performance

I just dont see it. I dont see good rebounding foul shooting or any offense. I mean offense and points are 2 different things. Defense means nothing if you dont rebound and offense means nothing if you cant free throw. I think these are critical flaws that would require the best player in the court to bail us out of like last year. I could be wrong. There is a chamce purdue was just that great last night. They sure looked like a top 15 team..

Last night was the first game we got outrebounded this season and it was against a team that was larger than us at every position. As far as FT shooting goes thats on cat and lacey. Both are shooting subpar. For being two guards taking the large majority of our fts they are both shooting sub 70 when they need to be approaching 75. I think that will even up as the season goes on. This team has serious fight and Lacey is a straight gamer and we've got some very solid pieces around him. If barber could learn to be a smart facilitator this would easily be the fifth (and probably fourth) best team in the ACC.

we didn't get outrebounded because of lack of size. a lot of the rebounds were long rebounds where we just gave up inside position to the opponent.

we may have outrebounded other teams because of size and talent discrepancy but being outrebounded in this game was not because they had some sort of physical advantage. this was the first rebounding test. It was purely a technique/hustle advantage.

I'm tired of hearing Cody Martin as a bad player. He had perpetual leg injuries in high school and he just had surgery on his leg in July. He missed practice with the team for about a month and a half during the summer. He didn't have much time to prep for this season. So cut the crap with good twin bad twin. Cody will be up there with his brother soon.

^^^Yes. Cody is more of a driver/slasher/inside player. He's also stronger on D. Caleb is the shooter/wing player.

This is the best defensive team Gott has had here, so if he just gets the offense going, things will be fine.

I do applaud the defensive improvements but it looks like the curtain has been pulled back to reveal the complete lack of offense. we've always relied on talent for offense. No execution layups (outside of tyler the creator)
