This thread is tiresome. It appears that Lowe is going to be given one final year to prove what everyone already feels is true. He's a good man and an unproven coach, at least unproven in the sense that proven equals being able to win.

So if we finish say 10-20 and don't win any or less than three ACC games he is still here? Yeah right. Think sensibly here. If Lo Brown doesn't qualify and Howell is to be injured or other NC State shit to happen we could possibly go 10-20 next year. I mean best case scenario in my mind is a repeat of this year around 17-15 (6-10). UVA just fired a coach who won the ACC regular season just two years ago. Its not that outlandish to say he will get the boot.

If after next season we still don't see much improvement heading our way, why would it be so bad to move on? I am giving him next year and if we are still a bottom three ACC team, then I think we should part ways. The question I have been asking all along: Is Sidney the type of coach that is going to take us farther than Herb did? So far, he has not given us any reason to think he can even match what Herb did much less exceed it. I think that is the main reason I have been so pissed about basketball. I was fine with Herb leaving believe it or not. I just wanted us to get someone who could take us higher.

FYI we finished 11th and 10th the last two years so the same as them. What outlook do we have for improvement? Hell they had the ACC freshman of the year on their team.

The only players I remember him doing that to were Cam Bennerman and Tim Wells. Herb didn't play underclassmen period unless they were just great players like Hodge.
