Do you notice an advantage w/ the grips?

they are much easier to use than the Elites/Elite II (don't need chalk)

also being able to use the measurements on the bands instead of having to guess heights is a huge plus

I ended up grip taping mine.

I bet I could paint lines for length.

hmmm

Did I mention they're much easier to put up/take down (assuming you don't just leave them up all the time)

note: I am in no way associated with Tyler Hass or the Elite/EliteII/EXF Rings

I bought some straps that I tied off and I loop them around, and into a carabeener on each side. All I do is adjust the length as needed.

Granted, this only works if you have access to a ladder (which I do at most places that I've used 'em)

20-mile bike ride. It was pretty leisurely for me because I was there to give moral support/degradation to a friend running it training for a marathon. Now I feel like the lazy one. About to go lift.

3 continuous cycles of: 10 pull-ups, 15 push-ups, 15 GH sit-ups, 15 back-extensions, 15 air squats

then bench-press

185x1
225x1
245x1
185x10
245x1
135x20
245x1
95x30
245x3 (forced reps with spotter)

should've gone slightly heavier (and should've gone slightly heavier on the front squats yesterday), but I'm just now getting back into Crossfit/powerlifting after spending many months recuperating on machines (again)...I'm trying to play it a little conservative and not break myself again for at least a little while.

In other news, I got a heart rate monitor (the kind you wet and strap to your chest) and a watch combo for Christmas.

My resting heart rate is just around 60-65.

I did some shuttle runs outside. My max was 173. The average was 142.

What was the point of jumping around in weight so much?

My HR is usually higher when I first get up than a normal "resting" HR. When I'm just sitting around and check, it's usually in the 55-60 range.
