4 out of 5 of our starters were playing with foul trouble/sitting on the bench for pretty much the entire game, and 'fans' on here are FURIOUS that we lost on the road in a close game.

There were TWO fucking techs and even a fan ejection. NOBODY was happy with the pussy ass officiating, but it's the end of the world to so many 'fans'. The face trolling has been icing on the cake.

I'm way more disappointed with our 'fans' than CJ Leslie. I mean he fucked up big time, but some of you really need to examine your lives. haha

Omg UNC won 1 more ACC game (against us, at home) than we did! Even though we have nearly identical records and similar resumes, our season was a total failure and we are not a good basketball team!

22-9 is fucking garbage and Gottfried should be shot. Tar and feather CJ Leslie and castrate Lorenzo Brown. Bench Scott Wood and Richard Fowell.

Disappointing compared to what? I never bought into the preseason top 5-10 rankings, and saw us as a 15-25 team. If Zo doesn't get hurt we are essentially right there. The only real bad losses were OK State (b/c it was a blowout), Wake (but Miami lost there too), and at FSU. If anything the pollsters were overly harsh to this team for not living up to their own unwarranted preseason expectations.

Now I had hoped for an ACC Championship and/or at least 1-2 NCAA wins, which we can still do.

If Painter stayed I'd understand but our losses were in part due to depth issues that aren't the team nor Gotts fault. Shitty recruiting and to many transfers over the past 4 years ....He is setting up to have back to back to back the best classes we have had in a while, how about giving him some credit for getting CJ to stay and finding 3 contributing freshman. It could have looked really bad with how the program was left after Lowe if he didnt hit the recruiting trail immediatly and keep CJ around. The guy was left with not much and was able to polish a turd pretty fast. I'm fine with high expectations but I'm giving the team and staff credit I expected a total rebuild not a sweet 16 and top 1/3 ACC season in the first 2 years.

Come find me 2 years from now and if we are mid ACC with bad recruiting ill start to worry until then Ill enjoy being somewhat relevant in the ACC and recruiting for the first time in a while.

Team sucked total nutsac defensively and we finished behind unc who played a much toughet schedule and was handicapped by a coach who openly sabotaged the first 2/3 of their season to try to prove some kind of point.

Immensely disappointing would have been missing the tournament. I would just "disappointing".

But after watching the whole regular season (as well as the rest of the tournament field)...I'll just say "meh".

I still think we can play with (and beat) anybody. I like our pieces. I'm still concerned about depth. I'm still concerned about the defense as well, but I like the way we played the defense the last 5 or 6 games. The ability is there, just have to keep up the focus and intensity. Which I hope we can for the tournament.

I just hope we don't end up as an 8 or 9 in Lexington and have to face Louisville or in the Midwest and have to play Kansas in Kansas City or Indiana in Dayton, which is pretty close to Bloomington. We aren't going to be in a position to play Duke in the 2nd round of the NCAAs, so basically we're hoping to go out West.

Having a hard time reading this thread without wiping off all the vag juice. For anyone who has watched NCSU since the Les years, this shit is still awesome. It is frustrating that Leslie is a moron and obviously will not be growing up, but we're going to the NCAA's for the second year in a row with a legit chance to do something when we get there. I know the team is bipolar, but you can't say the talent isn't there and when we click on all cylinders we can destroy even good teams. Even when Herbert was taking teams to the NCAA's, no one had any delusions that they would be making a run. I think based on expectations that the season has def been disappointing, but if you're saying it's the worst season ever or some bullshit like that, well go back and watch the days of Kenny Inge and Jeremy Hyatt.

We need to fire a Sweet 16 caliber coach because doing so would totally show Bill Self or Mark Few that we are a serious program and they should leave their teams to come here and TOTALLY not just get yelled at by a bunch of rednecks for not winning every game.

Regardless of what you think about Gott (and I tend to think he's a good, not great, coach), we've seen bad coaches with talented teams make deep runs in March. Look at GT under Paul Hewitt. Nearly won the whole thing in 2004.

I truly think anything is possible with this NC State team on a neutral court. We can dominate or be dominated. It really all comes down to which CJ Leslie shows up. We basically know what we'll get out of Howell, Wood, Brown, etc. CJ -- and Purvis to an extent -- are the wildcards.

Vag juice? We are an uppper classmen roster with stud talent with super frosh. This team should be top ten and instead we suck again.

Sure we could salvage the season with a run in either tournament but the sad fact is we willl be underdogs again. Uva and most likely any ncaa opponent.

We squandered a great roster so any expectations for future success with less talented rosters are probably misguided. Gottfried will be on the hot seat if we are under .500 in the Acc the next two years.
