i havent heard too much talk about 2013, any decent news?

(i dont have a membership to any recruiting site like a lot of the guys on here)

^Connor Mitch will prolly be one of the top QB's in the nation and we are trying to stay all over him. Will be hard to keep in the state(as it is with every top NC prospect).

There is a DE out of VA named Jonathan Allen that will be big time that Coach Willis has built a good relationship with. Named us his leader early, however, he has gotten a ton of offers and has since refrained from naming a leader.

WR Jalen McDaniel, teammate of 2012 commit LB Salahudin tried to commit to us last year, however, his family said it was too early, so he de-committed. I would believe that we are in good shape for him.

There is a BIG time DT in the state, Greg Gilmore, that if he stays in state, has said that he will go to NC State. However, everyone will be on this kid. Will be tough, could use him.

there is also a CB out of Charlotte, Brian Walker, who we have been listed as being high up on his list early. Has a good set of offers.

Just a few names to keep in mind. There will be MANY new names as the year goes on though. It is still VERY early or the 2013 class(unless you are Texas who usually has their entire class wrapped up by July)

When do the Camps start.

Camps are a good way to gauge interest from recruits. Who came to the TOB camp and who doesn't, and that's also were a lot of sleepers recruits come from.

^if its the same as the past few years, there will be one in June and then another in July.

NC State held a Junior day a week or two ago and by all reports, had quite possibly the most talent at that junior day as any in the past few years.

Secondary and d-line are the least of my worries after this past year on the field and in recruiting.

Worries are LBers and WRs.

So tomorrow's the big day. Sounds like we might have reason to be concerned over Lakeith Walls, Jarnor Jones, and Charlie Hegedus.

Walls seems to be projected as a LB, so our two recent LB commits in Caldwell and Davis would soften that blow, and we should also be getting Salahuddin.

Jones is projected as a safety, and we should be getting 3 more projected DBs, so that wouldn't be too bad.

WR Hegedus would the worst, imo. He looks like he could be an impact player, and we need some WR depth. Apparently Oklahoma State just offered him. (and i think it'd be pretty cool to have one white wide-receiver)

Perhaps in addition to playing closer to home, Walls saw that we just got commits from two more linebackers in the last week, so there were four of them coming in, and he saw his chances of getting on the field early diminish? Sucks, but not a big loss.

But losing Whitehead would definitely suck (although his tweet is reasurring^^^)

He also wanted to play RB. I'm sure we would have given him the chance, but we wanted him at LB. Illinois said they would give him a bigger chance to play RB. Same thing to Summers. Fedora said he had a chance to start from Day 1. We said we have Glennon and a ton of other QBs and that he would get a shot at QB, but that we also wanted to try him out at other positions.

TOB doesn't bullshit these recruits like most coaches do. It might hurt us in the final rankings...but I don't like catering to these 17/18 year olds. Give it to them straight up. The ones that are cool with that, I want them on our team. Not some prima donna who is given everything. I want our football players to work for it.

Oh...and I'm pumped about Thornton signing. I loved his highlights.
