Damn nice 275. I saw one of those at a car show last fall (Concours de Graylyn in Winston-Salem) but I don't know if it was one of the quad-cam models or just a GTB longnose. (Upon further inspection, I think it is a GTB/4 as it has the hood bulge...)
On the topic of that show, another definite exotic they had on display there:
That would be the Audi R10 TDI that placed first overall in the 2006 24 Hours of LeMans. Damn impressive piece of machinery.

What i'm trying to say is that is the worst possible car to buy for 100k
i mean you can get a 996 carrera s for what 30k now? i mean... i'm not knocking Porsche cause i'd probably get a 996 turbo and mod it or some form of old ruf if it had to be a new car otherwise i'd go hemi shopping for a numbers matching car owned by someone who doesn't know exactly what its worth... or get a rare 60s mustang... like a 427 shelby gt500 (most had 428s) or a thunderbolt fairlane
something that won't shit out 70k in 4 years and has a little more soul to it. i'm not a big Ferrari fan but at least it would be worth something down the road a couple years.
but if speed was all that mattered i'd get an sti/evo or a 996 turbo and mod the fuck out of it.
i mean 100k for 355 hp is just retarded in my book
i hate mercedes but at least you get some power for 100k or maybe he could have skipped the bling and got a stripped down turbo for a little more.

what car is that?
is that a special edition of the 599 GTB Fiorano (the maranello replacement)?
the price also is a lot higher than the 599 GTB's $250,000. so maybe it is a pininfarina modded/rebodied 599 GTB, but i never heard of it, and can't find it on the intarnetz.
or maybe you are just confused because the 599 GTB is designed by Pininfarina, and has an F1-style transmission. (but then why such a big markup over the MSRP?)
yeah that tan interior is gorgeous:
see that beautiful carbon fiber surrounding the seats!!!

haha, I know. I remember 360 Spiders. Their MSRP was around $190k. But the demand was so high, and thus a long wait list. As such they were going for $260k + 3/27/2007 12:47:55 PM |

^^Pretty sure that's Bob Rapp's car (the man from G-boro that use to own the yellow Enzo). I was out at FCI over spring break and one of the salesman told me that they were waiting for his 599 to arrive anytime within the next two weeks.
And speaking of Ferrari mark ups... they have a used F430 at FCI with the traditional 6-speed going for $220,000. The salesman told me it cost $190,000 new. 3/29/2007 10:53:00 AM |

I live in High Point and take a back road to my house. Every day there is someone test driving some sort of car from Foriegn Cars Italia. The other day a guy in a red Ferrari came around the corner and I was stopped at the stop sign and I don't know if he didn't realize the sign was there or what but he almost drilled the back of my Yukon. He looked startled when he realized how fast he was going and that I was sitting right there. 3/30/2007 10:17:52 AM |

^seeing as you spelled it horribly wrong, I considered the fact that maybe you honestly had no clue. Even a lot of people who like cars don't realize it's actually an independent company and designer.
Also, I like the Dino for it's styling, it definitely was one of the most underpowered they ever made. as something to look at though, damn it's hot, and it inspired a TON of cars after it. 3/30/2007 6:09:53 PM |
