I'm down. I really don't give a shit about Japan/Australia so I won't be up early, though.

"while i'm glad Iran is getting beat, i still kinda wanted them to make hte second round, just to see what would happen with the german law against publically denying the holocaust... see if the iranian president would keep his mouth shut or not..."

It would have been something to see him there today in Nuremburg of all places. One or 2 people would be a little pissed if that happened.

"I never heard of that but it is complete crap. The World Cup is supposed to be about sportsmanship and leaving politics out of things. On the topic of sportsmanship though, I heard the commentator on the Iran/Mexico game say that the Iranian team presented Sanchez with a bouquet of flowers in respect to the loss of his father. I love this game."

This was like us trying to ban Cuba from the World Baseball Classic. In the end, we look like assholes. This is the type of thing that helps bridge gaps, and shows the best of people (such as the sportsmanship). This and the Olympics are my favorite international events.

Anyway, make a decision and I'll probably roll with it...but Playmakers is cursed, so keep that in mind.

Apparently not.

Like I said, anywhere but Playmakers, home of NC State vs. St. John's and USA 1-2 Brazil.

^interesting you say that bc now that I think about it, I don't think the team I pulled for has won a single game that I've watched at playmakers, or Damon's for that matter.

Well I don't know the area all that well, so I was just throwing out something I know I've seen since you've got something against Damon's, which is right up the street from where I live.

Australia made a goal when they had a chance.. but Japan couldn't when we had a chance..

It seems Japan team always misses a chance/timing to make a goal.
