I'd like some of what Wang and the Islanders are smoking. First, they fire Laviolette a year after he takes them to the playoffs. Then, they sign Alexi Yashin to probably the dumbest contract in NHL history. This summer, they hire Neil Smith as GM and then fire him a few weeks later only to turn around and hire Garth Snow (wtf?) as GM.

But now, they have somehow managed to top themselves. I was certain this was a typo, but no, it is reality; the Islanders have signed Rick Dipietro to a 15 YEAR, $67.5 million deal. What in the living fuck? 15 years?

Tickets for December games don't go on sale until November 1st. By then we'll have a better idea of how ticket sales are going. Typically Friday and Saturday night games are the most popular.
