Warner vs Seattle or Pennington versus NE?

I'm leaning to warner even though seattle pass D has looked not bad. He has a lot of weapons.

warner for the reason you stated

pennington looked good vs tennessee

I wouoldnt start Galloway until TB shows mw something. The injury bug biting Cadillac Williams doesnt help the WR's at all.

Smith may have more catches, especially with Javon Walker hurt, but Wilford is the most likely to score a TD vs. the shorter Steelers secondary.

if you are in a PPR league, go with Smith. If its a TD heavy league, Wilford is a sneaky pick, because the Jags will have to throw the ball.

Ok, here's my team:

QB - Culpepper and Vick (start 1)
WR - Chambers, Mason, Burress, Coles, and Matt Jones (start 3)
RB - Stephen Jackson, Gore, Julius Jones, Edge James, and Brandon Jacobs (start 2)
TE - Crumpler and Desmond Clark (start 1)
K - Matt Stover (start 1)

Defense:
Donnie Edwards, Zack Thomas, Keith Bulluck, and Jon Vilma (start 3)

Question: Should I trade to trade my depth for talent, or stick with what I have? Coles performed great in week 1, but I don't know if he'll keep it up. Same with Frank Gore.

^Wow, if your defensive players get a lot of points for tackles then you'll be set. Don't know how you managed to get all of those top-tier LB's.

Also how he got E. James, S. Jackson, and J. Jones. Those were all 1st and 2nd round picks in most of my leagues.

I like your RB depth much more than your WR depth. You should try to trade Jones for a good WR.

I don't think that Bush will get as many touches as he did last week.

Plus portis is THE guy in Washington, you know he is gonna get the nod at goalline.

i would go with bush...

he gets runs and passes and is going against green bay...

dallas' defense looked HORRIBLE and they will rebound with parcels...plus portis' health is still in doubt in my mind...i would take the safe bet and go with reggie...

rotoworld has bush #18 rb and portis #16 rb for this week, but i would play bush

No, that's Duckett.

Gibbs said earlier this week that if the ball is on the 3 yardline or closer, Duckett will be the guy everytime.

What do you guys think of Droughns? I have him as a #2 back or flex to go along with LJ and Gore. He more or less cost me my first week because of his shithole performance. Should I play him or try my luck with a receiver like Rod Smith or Cotchery in the flex spot?

whats your league scoring system for the above question?

10 yards per rushing and recieving yards? Points per Reception?

^ yeah we get points for everything (1 pt for 10 yds rushing, 1 pt for 20 yds receiving, 1 pt per reception). I normally would never start at WR over a starting RB that can be expected to get atleast 80% of his teams carries, but holy shit the Browns OL looked horrible last week.

I can also start Williamson instead of Smith or Cotchery - and I have Chris Brown as well. 12 team league.

You can immediately take Brown and Williamson off of the list.

The Titans will go behind early and have to abandon the run, plus Chris Brown is very up and down.

The Vikings will be facing a tough secondary in the Panthers, so he shouldnt be as productive as he was this past week.

Cotchery is an interseting play, simply because of he and Pennington's week 1 performance. I am hesitant to start him so soon though against the Pats. Take him of the list as well.

So it comes down to Smith and Droughns.

I expect Cincy to kick the shit out of Cleveland. That doesnt mean all is lost though, because I think Droughns will get lots of garbage yardage and possibly even a score, similar to what Ahman Green did last week in the blowout loss to the Bears. Green didnt have shit until the game was pretty much over.

Smith is also a good play because the Chiefs dont have a good pass defense, Javon Walker is hurt (hand, but will play), and you get PPR's. The downside to that is that he has Jake throwing him the ball, which as we saw in week one, is no thing of beauty.

I go with Droughns in this situation. Unlike Smith, he wont have to deal with an inconsistent QB throwing him the ball in order to get points.

Give Droughns another chance, but temper your expectations.

I think 75 yards rushing, 1 TD, and 2 rec for 15 yards is about where he will be.

I'll eat crow if I am dead wrong, but that's a ballpark guess.

The biggest thing that makes me suspicious of Droughns is the O-line problems in Cleveland. They will need several more weeks of consistency before their center even begins to feel comfortable, and they don't really have much of a passing option to take pressure off of the running game.

Start Him with confidence.

Sit or start?

4WR
T. Owens v Washinton
A. Toomer v Phi
Gabriel v NYJ
Welker v Buf
M Colston v GB
J. Cotchery v NE

Also, I have LJ smith (v NYG) at tight end. I can sit him and put M. Colston there and can get another receiver in. Should I do this?

I have T Henry from tenn who could take a flex spot above, but he seems to be injured.

DEF
Atlanta defense or SD defense? Wondering if ATL can do like the ravens against TB. I hear rumors of ATL injuries, though. However, SD is also nasty and is playing a scrub Tenn team. Somewhat concerned about SD pass defense because of how they were playing like greg golden.

i'd say to, gabriel, cotchery, and i guess toomer b/c sheppard isn't expected to play for the eagles so they'll have a weaker secondary than usual.

at defense i say san diego vs tennessee all the way.

Panthro thanks for the advice. If Droughns can get me 10 pts, I'll take it. I hope Cleveland will actually be able to move the ball and won't abandon the run after Cincy gets up by 21 in the 1st half.

^ either are going to be one of the best picks of the week.

both are in thier Home Openers against shitty opponents.

Based on week one, I would have to say Cincy.

Last week against KC (even before Trent Green got hurt) they had sacks, pass deflections, interceptions, fumbles (forced and recovered), and were basically swarming the entire time.

Indy isnt a bad pick, but the Giants really showed that if you run right at the Colts quick, but small defensive front, you really nuetralize the main component of what makes their defense so effective.

Start Cincy and expect no less than 12 points.

^wrong.

Did you not see the Titans last game?

They all but abandoned going to Brown after the 1st half, and the game was close!

Henry is questionable, but Fisher said he is going to play White in this game too.

Not to mention that the Chargers were the leagues best Rush Defense in the league last year, and gave up 0 points last week.

no shit they gave up 0 points the the raiders, who had no passing game at all because their O-line couldnt pass protect the Akron D-line. I'd go with brown as he is more likely to score than droughns. Did you see how cleveland opts to roll charlie frye out on goal line situations? They did it 3x last week. My call is Brown. Lendale white sucks btw

also the game was not close moron, it was 16-0 going into the 4th quarter and brown had some of his larger runs in the 2nd quarter.

way to continue to make shit up

ok now im considering letting Peyton go to get LT

i still have McNair and McNabb which barring injury i should be ok with, but that would give me the best two backs right now in LT and SA if the trades go through

should I give up Peyton for LT? back wise remember i have Edge and Lamont

so wait, you have Edge already, then you will also get SA, and now you are going to get LT?

How many RB's can you start?

If you can only start 2 of them I would probably keep Peyton.

BTW, all 4 of those guys were gone in the 1st round of my draft, how you ended up with 3 of them seems like really dumb moves by the other members of your league
