i still think jack is being played, he will end up saving ben's life because of doctors' ethics and he is a nice guy.

Sucks they killed Eko, I thought he was a good character because of the mythology/reality, religion/science, coincidence/fate theme conflicts. I guess the religion aspect of the show may be dropped (since the church wasn't finished).

mmkay..interesting episode, but really, what the fuck with the scene in the "Pearl" hatch. Didn't Eko and Loke go in there and see that it was a monitoring station? Didn't they see their hatch on the TV as well as look at the printouts? Wasn't the fact they were being monitored the whole reason Loke went psycho on the computer? And now suddenly he's all "oh yeah, duh" when Tits McGee grows a brain and says "like, gee, what are all these TVs for? and aren't there like 6 stations? That, and her other speaking part where she tells her boy toy that Eko's brother's dead body is in the plane, were like fingernails on a chalkboard.

Overall though I was glad to see some things that had disappeared for a while come back. Aso, showing the smoke take a form, as well as revealing some insight into the psychological battle between JSK and the Others was interesting.

they didn't see any or other hatches or even think about other hatches at the time




the worst bit of dialogue was when they were like "you've always been complaining about not ever doing anything...well now it's our turn..."

That popped into my head when Eko's brother showed up outside of the plane near the end of the episode. Can the smoke monster form shapes and colors like Walt, Jack's dad, or Eko's brother? In one of the podcasts last season, Cuse and Lindelof said that there was a good chance we had seen the monster on more occasions but we just didn't know we were looking at it.

I believe there is some power struggle between juliette and ben, and juliette does want ben dead. But not because she wants to be free of his tyranny. She's just as evil as Ben(remember Sawyer's comment to kate), and is simply manipulating jack into doing her dirty work for her.

Even an innocuous smoke monster, even a benevolent one, would be worthy of noting.
