Why can't we be a supercompetitive program? I know we got two schools just a few miles away, attracting a lot of talent, but we used to do just fine.

^We need to get used to this. We are a middle of the road ACC team. We will never be good year in and year out and our big wins will always be followed by terrible losses. In both football and BB. Us and our fans need to realize this and just be happy with what we have, and stop pumping up every season with goals we never can reach. Take Vandy in basketball, and Kentucky in football. Thats who we are in the ACC.

Why, who the fuck do you think we are???? We are NC State. Sure we won a national championship WAY WAY WAY back in the day on a miracle shot, and it seems year in and year out that us and our fans expect our teams to compete for a championship every year. Its not gonna happen, so deal with it. I am as big of an NCSU fan that there is, but I realize who we are and I just accept the fact that we will always be middle of the pack, maybe a little above, but will rarely, if ever be at the top. And I am fine with that. Everyone on here talks about Duke and UNC being a big rival, well I hate to break it to ya, but we are not to them. Sure we beat UNC this week, but look at the past, we are not a rival to them or Duke. Anyway, I love this school, and our teams, and I'm sure a lot of people would love them more if they would just realize who we really are.

our previous NCs aside, with the right coach and the right players, anyone can field very good teams, consistantly. see florida, uconn, even your almighty duke wasn't that much before coach k, surely not a national power. god damn virginia tech is in the race to win the acc this year. is virginia tech a basketball power? have they always been good?

no one's asking to make the final four every year, but to field teams that are nationally competitive in basketball is not at all impossible, regardless of what school you are.

oh, and WAKE FOREST just won the acc and went to the orange bowl. that would be more than enough out of our football team. WAKE FUCKING FOREST. the right coach can do anything anywhere, so sorry if we want coaches that don't suck, seeing as we're only pouring money into our athletics department (donation money only, that is).
