just make sure you have you matchmaking setup to FRIENDS or FRIENDS of FRIENDS. Like a degree of seperation bit keeps you with quality people..

I dunno, for me I have TWW'ers and shackers (http://www.shacknews.com) from their comment sections. Those are quality people....find some people you like and always add em and play with them. Once you have a big enough friends network, youll not play much longer with those anonymous bastards.

i agree and disagree. You must have more than half veto for it to work, so most the time you'll have either 3/4 or 5/8 reject a map. If that many of the group dont want the first two maps, you should be able to veto and get a third map. I'd feel better if that was the limit. I'm just already sick of 2 of the levels (at least for the time being)

Anyone have comments on how a few of the levels seem just like levels in Halo2 but with variations? (such as the lockdownish map with the vegetation)

^yeah they did a remake of lockout and zanzibar so far that i can tell. remakes isnt really an uncommon thing at all with bungie.

also in my opinion, a lot of the other maps resemble older halo maps, whether they intended it or not.

Unlike the Zanzi remake, it looks nothing at all like lockout. It's more rounded and overgrown with plants and such. It's also not nearly as quality as lockout.

Oh, and they used segments of certain Halo 1 levels as the design basis for certain maps... For example, one of the larger maps very heavily resembles the 2nd level of Halo, in which you rescue a bunch of marines. There's another level with a bridge-like structure and one grav-jump that resembles one of the snowy levels mid-late in Halo 1. There's probably others but I haven't studied the maps too heavily yet. Hence why I don't know the names of any of them.

i really really hate trying to aim with this controller. Is it better to constantly try and put your target in crosshairs with the right joystick or keep it in the center and strafe/move/jump them into your sights? What settings do most of you use? Right now i have it 4-5 with greenthumb but i'm finding I want to jump while still moving my crosshair.

Grandmaster, you will slowly get better.

I use sensitivity 6 and 'boxer' config, and I find it just right. I use boxer b/c in MP, melee is a big deal. You close on your target with fire but as soon as you get within reach, be the first to reach out and cold cock em to finish them off. A melee shot is prolly worth about 2-3 seconds of normal gun fire stream with you default assault rifle.

i've been contemplating switching to boxer, but for me being able to finely aim my grenades is really important, and i can usually have no problem with the default setting for melee.

might try switching melee to the L1 button (the small trigger) and have grenade switch on B and have the best of both settings

anyone else have trouble switching from X being reload to X being the item slot? i'm wasting a lot of deployable shields, lol

Gaurdian isn't a remake of Lockout.

I am kind of disappointed with only 11 MP maps. Especially since I'll most likely never play Sandtrap on a regular basis.

So far my favorite maps would have to be Gaurdian, Narrows, and Isolation.

I hate saying it so soon, but I can't wait for a new MP map pack to come out.
