I just don't understand the coorelation between football players and crime. WHY GOD? WHY DO YOU MAKE FOOTBALL PLAYERS BREAK US LAWS? If the conduct policy is to work then it needs to be 2 strikes, and i mean any 2 strikes, and you are out for a year unpaid. Then you can be transfered to Oakland with mimum league pay to ride the bench. PS. GO PANTHERS

trying to get single game tickets is bullshit

i signed on at 10:30 this morning (tickets went on sale at 10) and there were only single seats available, no 2 or 3 seat groupings

thanks mr. richardson for only allowing 7,000 single game tickets for each home game

^ your own fault for checking 30 minutes later than when they went on sale.

I hit refresh constantly around 10:00 & had no problem getting 2 tix for the New Orleans game, 2 tix for the Tampa Bay game, and 1 ticket for the Colts game. The only reason I got 1 ticket for the Colts game was b/c my buddy already has his ticket for that game through his job.

just got back from a full day in Spartanburg at training camp....


My top 10 1st takes on practice

1) Nick Goings looked like he was faster and more agile than ever...made great cuts and hit a hole for 40yds for a TD

2) Kris Jenkins looks to be in absolutely great shape, although he had limited action in D-line drills

3) Julius Peppers is a beast among men

4) David Carr doesnt know what he's doing....at all. And i almost caught one of his passes...i was 5 yds behind the line of scrimmage

5) Ryne Robinson could be the panacea for our return game...he may be the fastest player I've ever seen

6) Beason appears to be entering what will be a lengthy holdout

7)Mick Mixon's band had their own stage and played....they were actually pretty good but their only audience was the ocassional 4 year old. And me, journeying to the porta-potty.

8) The crowd was enormous, and the Panthers did a great job with entertainment

9) tailgating all day has gotten me extreeeeemely ready 4 the season

10) GO PANTHERS!

we will get plenty of looks at carr in the preseason so it doesnt matter who says what about how he looks in practice. You know they are dying to show him off when they pull Jake after the 1st quarter or whatever. I wouldnt be surprised if they give him multiple series with both the 1st and 2nd team offenses. I can't wait to see what he looks like myself though I stand firm behind Jake as our #1....

I was on at 10:00 on the dot, and didn't get any. I had 3 for tampa, but when I tried to pay it kicked me off, and I couldn't get any more......guess it didn't help that I was trying for 3-4 together.

I too tried at 10:00 am to get 4 colts tickets and it wouldn't let me....couldn't even get 1 at 10:05. It really sucks for the fans that want to see games but can't afford season tickets.

the scalpers around BofA stadium usually take very low margins if you can wait ~10-15mins before kickoff to buy your tix. Thats what I have always done when I happen to be in Charlotte when the Panthers are playing....

Not that I would be upset if he was our QB (and was a good one), but it's unsettling for a team who needs a leader at QB position to have a more popular backup QB than the starter....

I just moved into Charlotte uptown... I have never been to a game without tickets in hand though. How hard is it to grab 2 or more seats together at within a decent amt near face value close to or after kickoff?

Oh and as for Carr - everyone attending the practice seems to be reporting that he has sucked it up big time... forget the media... when so many people say "wow wtf is he doing" something isn't right.

^ depends on the team's success, who the opponent is, how long until kickoff it is, and how aggressive you get with scalpers. As far as NFL franchise tickets go, Panthers tix are not hard to find/scalp and the police really don't crack down on it at all.... Be glad you arent a redskins fan for this reason at least...

to the people talking about tickets

i've also never tried to get from a scalper....i've gone through ebay twice...the first time we payed like 10 dollars over facevalue i think...something like that....the second time i got them on ebay FOR facevalue....the only stipulation was that we had to meet the guy and pick them up that morning before the game....at first i was sketched out by it but my friend said the guy emailed him and was like "we've done this before, meet at the arby's on this exit in lexington"...met the guy and went on our way...they were 86 for 2 on ebay and when we got them the facevalue was 43/each....i thought we got a good deal cause we woulda drove through lexington on the way to the game either

I am highly considering trying to do this for at least a few games. I wanted to take my father to a couple so I will likely buy those in advance... but for myself and some local buddies I don't think we'd mind risking walking a couple of blocks to check the scalpers at game time... even if we miss kickoff I won't mind if I can see the game from inside the stadium. If all else fails and we come up empty - we can just walk back to a bar or my place. I just don't really feel like paying the rediculous initial pricing I am seeing for tickets right now on places like stubhub.... some of the $49 tix are going for 100+...... no thanks. I'd rather just spend on the PSL/season tickets (prob next season anyway) than deal with that crap.

and about tickets....there are ALWAYS tickets available. if you are walking around the stadium, go to the Mint Street, under the overpass. Around that area, especially at the intersection of Morehead and Mint, tickets are always available. There is usually a guy in a wheelchair selling tickets. He is a trusty guy. Also, buy PSL owner tickets if possible, not ticketmaster. The PSL owner tickets are unique and cannot be replicated easily. With that said, around kickoff ticket prices plummet, and you should be able to see some games. (just dont expect it to be that way towards week 14 or for the dallas and indy games).

i've looked through some of the training camp photos as i think dweedle has as well (since i remember seeing that doo doo ball jenkins pic) and didnt see the same type pics as last year...however there were a lot of pics of them laughing...potential

i saw the dookieball pic on the front of the panthers section of charlotte.com

havent looked through any slideshows, but its doubtful they will have a series that were obviously taken a few seconds apart from one another like last year
