As crazy as it sounds, I think the Chargers should think about franchise tagging Turner after this season. Sure, they would have to pay him top-5 money for a season, but they could potentially move into a 2-back offense with Tomlinson and Turner as LT gets older and Neal retires.

It all depends on whether the Chargers think LT has 3 good years left in him or 6. If it's closer to 3, they would be better off retaining Turner and gradually phasing him into the offense as a starter the way St. Louis did with Steven Jackson.

I think LT has more than just 3 years left in him. But Turner definitely needs to keep gettting more reps. He is putting up huge numbers just like last year.
