lol it was funny when they used to do those in the rbc center. not sure why they stopped. i hated on em then but they did get the crowd loud. afterwards the fans were either genuinely pumped up, sarcastically hootin and hollerin (me), or laughing.

seriously is there not someone that takes game tapes, highlights all of the bad/missed calls, and sends them to John Swofford or the ACC heads to review this stuff? I think if you compiled all of the bad/inconsistent foul calls on both sides back to back from game tapes it would be very compelling

He's right it was CJ Williams. I remember watching the game and it was clearly CJ Williams. I could spot his nose from a mile away. I like to see that kind of emotion from an incoming player. He's already seeing how hard you have to fight to win in the ACC and how crazy the State crowd can be.

^ Yeah, I'm glad he's so into State sports too. It means he knows the importance of ACC games, especially games against the other in-state teams, from a fan's perspective. Not that Sidney would let him go into the Carolina game thinking they were just another opponent.

I think that's in large part why we lost to Carolina in football over the last 3 seasons prior to this one. Not only was the coaching staff inept, but the players couldn't give a crap about Carolina because a lot of them were from Florida where nobody gives two shits about the State/Carolina rivalry. Which also explains why we seemed to get up for Fla. State, seeing as how half our team probably wanted to go there but weren't offered a scholarship.

Its lame, period. Maybe I sound like an old curmudgeon, but point is, its a college basketball game. COLLEGE. Not Pro. COLLEGE. At college sporting events, you have pep bands or marching bands. Not lame piped in music.

I agree with how it seems they are slowly trying to push the band out...or at least make them less effective. Why are they on the other side of the goal now, rather than right in front of the opposing bench? Oh yeah, we are the "nice" university. Home court advantage? No, we would never want that...it would be cheating! WITH! Seriously, the band needs to be in the other teams face blowing their faces off during timeouts...we dont need lame-ass piped in music which will have no effect on the opponents ability to hear their coach.

Really, you guys talk about wanting to rebuild a homecourt advantage, and yet you want to hear more piped-in music? Get a fucking clue, seriously.

^Hey, about us moving. It's a ACC rule that was put into place last year that we didn't follow. You'll notice every band in the conference are not right next to the opposing benches anymore. Don't know why. I always liked those seats.
