I'm excited about both these series.

It's a shame the Sharks got knocked out tonight. I had them going all the way in my initial picks.

Pittsburgh is going to have to toughen up too... I just don't think Biron is good enough to stand up against Crosby / Malkin / Hossa / Staal / etc. etc. etc.

At the same time... Scottie Upshall has taken his game to a new level during the playoffs. Briere / Prospal / Upshall / Umberger are a pretty scary bunch too.

(As far as the West goes... Turco was a god tonight in net against San Jose, and I think the long layoff will hurt the Wings in the long run)

And for the record the guy in the Devils jersey behind the Stars bench was NOT me. I promise. I mean who the hell gets front row tickets at a playoff game and wears a jersey of a team that not only isn't playing in that game but is no longer in the playoffs?!?!? Sheesh. Even I would have bought a Stars jersey and faked it or something. It made me wonder when V was coming. . .

lol when i set my DVR to record 2 1/2 hours after the first OT i didn't really think i would need it. luckily the goal happened 3 minutes before it was set to cut off

HockeyRoman: 3 days of no t.v. hockey means you need to go play hockey. If you're in Greensboro, which I think I remember reading, they have hockey at the Ice House off Wendover on Tuesday mornings at 5:30. It's usually a good skate, and usually have at least 1 net minder.

^^ None of them work exclusively for Versus. Doc Emrick calls games for the NJ Devils as his regular gig but also calls for NBC and Versus. Apparently Forslund is third or fourth on their "depth chart."
