i don't think you're getting steals in either. i put a pretty high value on LT, but i like the first deal better than the second.

Trying to figure out starters for Week 2...

Set up is: 1QB, 2RB, 2WR, 2Flex (RB/WR)...only have 1 K, D, TE, so no decision there.

QB: Ben R.
WR: R. Moss, Cotchery, Lee Evans, DeSean Jackson, Devin Hester
RB: LJ, MJD, Edgerrin James, Mendenhall

Bolded who I'm sure to start. Any opinions on who to put in at RB and to fill the flex spots?

Couple of things:

Pick 3 WR:

S. Holmes vs. Cleveland
L. Coles vs. NE
D. Mason vs. Houston
D. Henderson vs. Washington
A. Randel El vs. New Orleans
M. Jenkins vs. Tampa

Pick 1 TE:

D. Rosario vs. Chicago
O. Daniels vs. Tenn.

Also, what's the deal with NE at running back. I didn't watch their game this weekend, but Maroney gave me 5 points while Sammy Morris racked up 18. WTF? Just an aberration, or is Maroney going to screw me over like I've seen him do to others in the past couple years?

I'd actually go with Maroney. The Pats are going to be very careful with the ball with Brady gone, to ease Cassell into the system. That means more runs than usual, and also a lot of spots where RBs will be in the flats as checkdown receivers to give him someone to go to when he can't find a downfield primary.

Pick 3:
Welker @ NYJ

Marvin Harrison @ Min
Dante Rosario @ Chi
Devery Henderson @ Was

Rosario is apparently dinged up (one of his feet), and I just like the other defensive matchups better...I think San Diego's defense is gonna come out strong

Well that settles my tight end question. Still looking for some advice on my WR.

Pick 3 WR:

S. Holmes vs. Cleveland
L. Coles vs. NE
D. Mason vs. Houston
D. Henderson vs. Washington
A. Randel El vs. New Orleans
M. Jenkins vs. Tampa

I'd go:

Holmes
Henderson
Randle El

and re your earlier question, I think Sammy Morris is gonna be more likely to get scoring touches, but the Pats offense is so unpredictable, so who knows

also fwiw I'm gonna run Rosario this week...but mainly because Dallas Clark is not expected to play

^, ^^I'd agree with those 3. Holmes is basically a MUST start each week regardless of opposition.

4^, I'd probably go Royal, Harrison, and then either Welker or Henderson. Game 1 Welker had a down game but was target 10 times, just not sure how many of those were Brady and how many were Cassel.

Garrard all day

any particular reason Jason Campbell is even on your roster?

^ Not so sure about that claim.

The Jax OL has been obliterated, and they are going to struggle against a stout Buffalo D. A lack of a running game is going to kill Garrard like it did in week 1. The NO D isn't hot and I think this game the O bounces back. Temper your expectations for either this week but I expect Campbell to be a little better.

well...I drafted NE's defense and Tennessee just became available.

Thought it is completely against the way I normally do things, they both have incredibly favorable schedules at different points in the season.

I really think Collins makes them a more balanced team, so I am going to pick them up and have two Defenses for a little while.

So now I have to decide...

New England @ NY Jets

or

Tennessee @ Cincy

All signs are pointing towards Ten.

But after this week, NE follows up with:

Sun 9/21 Miami
BYE (Tenn vs. Minn)
Sun 10/5 at San Francisco

This could be a good tandem for a little while..

^5, ^8 - thanks I think I'm gonna probably wait to make a decision till saturday about welker or royal, see if I can get any news about how they are gonna play Cassel.

This one earlier got missed, any advice?

Pick 2:
Min @ Ind
Tampa @ Atl
Cin @ Ten

I currently have Minnesota and Tampa on my roster, but given Tennessee's QB situation it seems like it might not be a bad one week add.

Also, Garrard just got dropped... I have Cassel and Warner, should I grab him?

Thanks for the input.

^ While I know they didn't do well last week, it just seems smart NOT to play the defense playing Indy if it can be helped. ESPECIALLY given how bad the Vikings' pass defense is. Just seems like a recipe for disaster to me.

dzags, id go with min and tampa bay defenses. i like tampa the most just because its the nfc south division game and i can see a low scoring put-you-to-sleep kinda afternoon with both defenses playing well.

my 3rd WR spot: (choose 1 to go along with andre johnson/chad ocho cinco)
hackett vs. chi
bry. johnson @ sea
courtney taylor vs sf
berrian vs ind
darrell jackson vs sd

sweed is probably the top FA and he's got cleveland.

I just don't see why anybody would consider starting Campbell, regardless of the alternative...he's just not a very good QB

I'm not high on Garrard as much as I am down on Campbell

^^^ As for Welkers value - I just looked at how many targets he had post Brady... only 5 after Brady went down. I think his value just plummeted.

I still think Welker will be ok...obviously all of the Pats receiving threats took a hit when Brady went out, but I see Cassel or whoever ends up QBing this season still using him as a dump off option

I have Campbell because one-forth of my league has 3 QBs on their roster and I'm not fucking trading for a backup.

Need one for my flex (ppr league):

Darren McFadden
Sammy Morris
Jonathan Stewart
Joey Galloway
David Patten

Also in one of my leagues a guy has offered me Chris Johnson for Kurt Warner (he lost Brady). Thoughts?

(2QB league and I have Carson Palmer and Tony Romo has my other QBs)

i snagged Rosario on Monday anticipating Clark might not play (after that shot he took on Sunday night), but he might be gone in your league

Robert Royal for Buffalo might be a good play. Or Desmond Clark for Chicago if he's available.

Rosario for Colston?

My current WR's: Welker, Royal, Harrison, Smith, Henderson

Gates is my TE

I figure I can bench Colston and use Henderson till Colston comes back. I just picked Rosario up off the pool so hes somewhat expendable.

you'd be a fool to drop Colston, unless the injury gets worse for some reason

he's only going to be out for 4-6 weeks

now its saying Dallas Clark's injury isn't as serious as they originally thought and he hopes to play this week

sounds like I'll be making my final TE roster decision on Sunday morning

----

also I have Drew Brees as my starting QB...RBs are Marshawn, Fargas, Selvin, Chester Taylor and Mendenhall...I picked up Matt Cassel when he was dropped...should I try to trade Cassel for Jamal Lewis?

^i think you should do it, especially when you already have gates and all you're giving up is rosario...the absolute worst case scenario for you would be if colston doesnt play at all this year, in which case you'd basically just be dropping rosario, so yeah i'd do it

Good deal, thats what I figured.

I've been reading up on Michael Turner and it seems the consensus is that he has too hard of a schedule to be a premier rb. Lots of people are saying hes a good sell high candidate... Any thoughts?

220 yards and 2 TDs is rare for anyone...I think he's a very good back, but also he was going against the Lions...if you could somehow trade him for a Westbrook I would do it, but who knows...Warrick Dunn was a pretty good fantasy back a couple years ago with Atlanta, Turner might still have a great year, but I doubt you'll ever be able to sell him for higher than now and want to...that is, if he has another 200+ yard monster game, you wouldnt WANT To sell him...if he doesnt have any more games nearly that good, you wont be able to get as much for him

Thats what I figured. I mean I would be more then happy if he averaged a td and 100 yards a game I don't expect 200 yards and 2 tds by any means again, but I wouldnt mind someone with a higher ceiling. I offered him for Westbrook, Gore and Barber. I would be quite happy if someone bit.

On my bench I have Mason...

On waivers there is L. Coles.

Should I drop him for Coles? I prefer the QB situation better for the Jets, but Coles doesn't seem to be Favre's favorite target. Was hoping he'd be the Driver to J-Co's Jennings, haha.
