I am going to bounce this off of some of the Canes Thinkers here. Don Cherry said something interesting the other night during Coaches Corner. He pointed out that Laviolette doesn't let them fight like they should and stick up for smaller players which is why everyone in the league takes runs at us and then proceeded to show various clips of Canes players getting mowed over in different instances. The basis for this was, of course, Weight's hit on Sutter but it got me thinking about its validity. I could be totally wrong in this regard and I am by no mean condoning the idiotic retaliatory behavior that has run rampant this season.

Also, I like how in a previous Coaches Corner he called Avery out for being a big chicken!

He's basing that off a statement Lavi made 2 years ago. Since then it's changed a bit. He's allowing players to stick up for each other and we've had Conboy and Brookbank brought in. They both suck, but at least they're there. Went after Hordichuk but he wouldn't play for us...

Some truth there, but not as accurate as it once was.
