played quite a bit last night, really wanted to try and get my feel back and play more methodical. Had some pretty good rounds going about 18-10, 13-4 around that. Played with the M16 so it really forced me to be heads up and keep my sights on point instead of just running and gunning through the levels.

I still can't find a decent group to play with that uses any sort of strategy though. Closest I got was playing some sabotage.

I actually was banned a few nights ago, and haven't even though about getting my hands on MW2 yet. Never played any game early either.

It's really up in the air as to why the bans are happening, but honestly I use live so rarely that it's not going to affect me at all.

I'm definitely not going to be like the 80% of the whiny teens on those boards that are crying and going to go buy another xbox and all that

Modded the console so I could have a larger hard drive

Hated being stuck with the 20gig, and didn't want to pay the stupid way overpriced cost of the MS hard drives

I knew it was a risk, but I enjoyed installing my games to the harddrive so I wouldn't have to worry about wearing out the DVD drive

And yeah, they can either ban your account or ban your console. A console ban can only be "fixed" if you purchase a new console, while an account ban is everything

^ Absolutely.

EBStop has said they don't test to see if a console is banned when they take them. They only plug in to make sure it doesn't RR. They've also said even if it says "refurbished" on the box, that doesn't really mean anything. Someone could have sold it 15 minutes previous and after the RR check they box it back up.

If you buy a used console, it could very well be banned from Live.

wow that guy was awesome... the longest streak i've ever had is 3 or 4.

there is noway i'd be able to sit in 1 spot that long and snipe people without someone sneaking up on me and killing me first.

also, when you are controlling the chopper, can someone sneak up and kill you or does it make you invulnerable?

that guy went 65-2 in less than 10 minutes of play. Unreal. I mean absolutely unreal.

I'm surprised no one was able to sneak around and knife him while he was scoped up.

Does anyone know who that guy was? His player name was "Sandy Ravage" and he was already at level 51 while the next closest guy in that match was a 16. Has to be an IW guy.

^ I thought the same thing. That game almost seemed to have an actual front line so the player could camp out in the back whenever he did the gunner perk.

Does the chopper just hover directly over the spawn points?

no, but if you can take out the whole team fast enough, they will spawn all on top of eachother, which is what makes the AC-130 and chopper gunner killstreaks crazy. the AC-130 goes around in a complete circle, the chopper gunner will just move to different positions like the chopper in cod4.

Looks like you also do not lose lower level killstreak rewards when you get a 2nd or 3rd level...

For example: Say you get a care package drop available 4 kills and then immediately get a 5th kill which gives you a predator missile. You can fire the missile, then use your care package after.

i like this addition, because i hated in WaW when i'd be on a really good killing spree and not have time to set up the artillery before i got the dogs.

Whats the deal with claymores now? are they just an equippable item now coming at a certain level instead of using up a perk slot like betties from WaW?

Yea in W@W and COD4 it was easy enough to avoid airstrikes and dogs and such, in this... there are just so many ways to get killed by perks/killstreak rewards that it seems hard to be ready to react to them.

I always try to minimize my deaths, I prefer going 10-0 over 15-1. Getting randomly blown up from some unavoidable killstreak reward given to the enemy by some random scrub on my team... not liking that idea.

I have faith in IW though.

Yep....and with these perks and streaks now we are going to see even more of it. d00d playing tonight on hardcore headquarters just camped with a sniper rifle in a hiding spot for 3 games...I kept killing him it was pissing the whole team off. We were short a man getting killed going to the point while this fag was goind 14-3 or something like that. We were all going 25-25 or 30-30 or so. That is EXACTLY why K/D means shit to me.

I'm going to get MW2 but I'll still have COD4 just in case....

If you read the guy's comments on that video he tells you that he never snipes, but made that video to show you how easy it was to camp and get insane kill streaks in this game. He pretty much goes on to say that you'll be seeing a lot of gameplay like this.

Watch his other videos, he doesn't pick up a sniper rifle once and storms through the levels going 35-2 on another occassion.

I'm excited for the new perks and new rewards but i kind of feel like they are taking something away from those who work to be really skilled behind the gun. I feel like on COD4 i can go up against anything with my M16 and a few grenades without any need for an RPG or some massive machine gun. Now it looks like i am going to be killed in 100 different ways, none of them face to face with a man holding a gun.

All adds to the flavor. It is modern warfare so its only right to include an arsenal of modern weapons

One thing I hated in CoD4 was n00bs with rocket launchers in headquarters.
