i find it really odd that there's so much hate for a guy who was mostly self-destructive and has been mostly clean for a while now. What am I missing?

He mentions religion? Almost every postgame interview i see with NFL players, I hear them thanking God, but only Tebow gets flak for it. I generally have distaste for public displays of religion as well, but the vitriol here seems way overblown. It seems like a proxy for some other issue... in Tebow's case, i think his public persona is unlikeable.


contrast that to where folks seem to have sympathy for a guy like jovan belcher who fucking MURDERED his girlfriend.
