There's a new Championship Manager coming out this friday. You can get it for like $5 from the website until midnight on friday. Supposedly much improved from the shitty version 2 years ago. I'm sure it won't be nearly as good as FM10 but it's almost free and will be a way to pass the time until FM10 comes out.

SASHÉ, STRONGÉ. Aaron hits the town with his new handbag!

backstory:

JT and I were exchanging texts during the England game today

JT: "Aaron Lennon, New England hero exposed???"

me: "Epic gay running exposed?!?!"

JT: "Haha definitely. That pk he got was the queerest lookin run into the box ever"

me: "Ahaha he locks his wrists all ~ as hell, then he's like 'SASHÉ MODE ENGAGED!'"

Don't know what it is about Stoke but they give Chelsea fits. Glad we got the Three.

It should not have been 2-nil at halftime at Anfield Kuyt was well offsides. Liverpool handled Burnley soundly though.

and while I know if I were an Arsenal fan, I would be pissed at Adebayor, and while it was classless and in poor taste... I fucking loved it for some reason

I'm more pissed at him kicking Fabregas and Van Persie in the face with his studs than I am his douchebag celebration. Wouldn't mind seeing someone break his leg.

and another reason why everyone should hate man city...they picked up grade a douchebag adebayor...i wouldve wanted to go out onto the field and stomped on his face for pulling that run across the field stunt...disgraceful.

hughes has an ego train to deal with at man city...here's to hoping they fall apart in the locker room..

woot woot for anderson. epic free kick by giggs. tottenham are lucky berbatov couldnt finish or that game couldve gotten ugly for them...United still attacking with 10 men. love hearing the 10 men chant and Anderson song clearly on FSC at white hart lane...great stuff haha...

...and if stoke knew how to clear a ball in the last few minutes of a game, then chelski shouldnt have 3 pts today....they cant keep doing that all season though. i dont want to see liverpool come from behind wins of last season all over again. 3 come from behinds already this season against shitty teams? the diamond 4-4-2 is so ancient. i wanna see how they fare against a team actually worthy of them playing from behind this year.

rare time ill actually pull for arsenal...if they arent in the lead of the epl later this season i want them to fuckin destroy man city, complete with adebayor leg snapping.

just google FM 2010 guide or tactics or something like that and go to a link that takes you to a forum. i cant remember the names but i think there are 2 websites where you can find a lot of info on the games from the forums. cmfrenzy might be one of them, but i dont know if that place exists anymore as i havent been there in a long time.

yeah I've been trying to browse the forums but most of it is very specific questions/problems - I just wanted a general idea of how much time I should spend training, scouting, messing around with the youth/reserves, etc.

I guess the best way would be to just learn as I play a season or two. My only problem right now is I wish I could speed up the actual games a bit more, it's taking like 15 minutes for a game at the highest timer setting.

a lot of you may say its united being lucky again but for the manchester derby

robinho is out injured, tevez may not be fit, and adebayor has been charged twice and will probably be serving his suspension

Couldn't Adebayor appeal and have the decision delayed? Or will the FA work swiftly to deny the appeal before the weekend anyways?

and yes, the United luck continues - outplayed by Arse for most of the game, get a freak own goal and a penalty to win... face a hot Spurs team without their best player... now they'll face a very depleted Citeh team

for reference...

http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story?id=676336&sec=england&cc=5901

Quote :
"Emmanuel Adebayor has been charged with violent conduct by the FA over his challenge on Robin Van Persie and has also been charged with improper conduct after running the full length of the pitch to celebrate his goal in front of the Arsenal supporters.

Adebayor is facing a three-match ban for violent conduct for the incident involving Van Persie - where he was seen to rake his studs down the Dutchman's face - and, unless the Togo international can successfully argue his case, he is almost certain not to be available for City at least until their trip to Wigan on October 18.

An FA statement read: ''Under the fast-track disciplinary process, Adebayor has been charged with violent conduct following an incident with Robin van Persie, which resulted in the Arsenal player receiving facial injuries.

''Referee Mark Clattenburg has advised The FA that he did not see this incident, but has confirmed that had he done so, he would have sent Adebayor off for violent conduct. The player has until 6pm on Wednesday evening to respond to the charge.''

Adebayor also faces a charge for his goal celebration, which saw Gunners fans explode in anger after the Togo man ran the length of the pitch to goad them, having netted the third goal in City's 4-2 win.

''The Greater Manchester Police have written to The FA with their views on this incident. A separate date will now be arranged for a commission to consider Adebayor's goal celebration,'' the statement continued.

''We have also asked the GMP and the clubs to identify those supporters involved in any violent and aggravating behaviour. The FA would like to see anyone found guilty of such behaviour face action through the legal system and banning orders from football.

''The FA would like to thank the Manchester City FC stewards for the way they managed a very difficult situation and to pass on sincere best wishes to the steward who was injured during the game.

''We will continue to work with the LMA and PFA in particular to help remind players of their responsibilities, especially in highly charged situations.''"

ah

I totally agree with a ban for the stomp, but a ban for the celebration?? Absolutely bullshit in my opinion - he got the yellow, which is the correct punishment for unsporting behavior. This after the fact suspending is getting out of control

yea the ban for the celebration is kinda weird. i guess its because it kinda started a riot in the stands and i think a few people got hurt from all the fans pushing and throwing stuff at adebayor. it still seems weird that they would ban him for that though, because he's not really responsible for the fans actions.

he has to have a ban for the celebration...i dont think you guys realize how bad riots can get over there...and he was to blame for starting a small one. not everyone is going to agree that he deserves it but he has to be martyred. aimorris, i doubt youd like to see another hillsborough disaster because of one player running across the field moronically to taunt in front of the fans. i wish he wouldve been hit by a missile instead of a steward.

and about united's luck...they got rid of the reigning world player of the year and you all were like the midfield will suck. now that the midfield had their best game of the season, its cause they are lucky tottenham were without their best player??? sorry, defoe is doing a little better than modric. so they did have their best player, who did score, who shouldnt have since crouch fouled vidic before that. yet, tottenham got crushed....lucky that united didnt score more than 3. hell, rooney couldve had a hat trick while united were down to 10 men. did they still need modric with a man up?? or were united lucky they won with 10 men too??

Dude, he slid in front of them and held his arms out... he wasn't giving them the finger and he didn't pull up his jersey to reveal a shirt with "FUCK YOU GOONERS" written on it. He didn't go into the stands and physically provoke any fan either. It makes no sense to hold Adebayor accountable for the actions of some pissed off fans. Riots are no fun but if you're stupid enough to riot over a soccer player scoring a goal and then taunting you about it, you deserve whatever jail time and punishment you get... not the player.

So what if Neville does this again - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QubF5Afcuek - and Liverpool fans decide that if they get mad enough and throw stuff at him, they can get him banned for a couple of games - I just researched that Neville celebration, he got fined 5,000 for it, which is what Adebayor should get.

And I said nothing about United's victory being lucky, they completely dominated. But there's no denying a team would rather play Spurs without Modric than with him. Yeah, Defoe's been good, but Modric has been just as important for them in that midfield so I guess "best player" was probably the wrong wording. I think losing Modric is a bigger loss than if they had lost Defoe.

I don't hate Citeh because they're buying all these players, I dislike them because they're buying guys I'm not particularly fond of - Adebayor, Bellamy, Robinho, and Lescott.

Tevez is the only player they have that I even remotely like.

u mad?

I'm sorry you don't approve of me picking City over some shitty team that I will never hear news about or see on TV. That's definitely a factor.... I don't want to pick a team that is going to make me suffer for being a fan.

Is the bandwagon comment supposed to hurt my feelings? Of course its a bandwagon move lol! From what I can tell, you are a Manchester United fan right? You are a fan of the single biggest bandwagon in the history of soccer. But let me guess... you were a fan of Man U back 60 years ago when they weren't good and you pulled for them through the hard times.....

i was a fan cause my dad was a fan before i was born. they are the first team i saw on tv, even before the mls was a league. hell i was a fan of united before i even knew who nc state were...sorry i cant be as old as the club when they first formed, but you are gonna get some flack from me since city are rivals...and since you picked them for a reason that seems to be that you like unsporting and unclassy behavior from one of the biggest crybabies in the league. he cried his way out of arsenal and couldnt take the heat they were giving him AT HOME. wait til they go to arsenal. he's in for it there...

single biggest bandwagon team of soccer's history would be real madrid, sir. nice try.

i think the real reason they wanna ban adebayor for the celebration is because they want to host the world cup, and with all the riots theyre trying to make it seem like they are taking it really seriously. it was bad what he did, but players have done a lot worse, its not really ban worthy

Well then you don't want to pick City, because they don't have the grit to go the distance. Just watch.

And for the record, Adebayor does deserve a ban for his celebration. Rooney got a game ban for inciting the Everton fans when he kissed the United badge at Goodison a few years ago, Gary Neville got one the year before for kissing the badge in front of the traveling Liverpool contingent at Old Trafford.

They take that shit very seriously. It is not like here where you get fags who dress up and talk tough at a fucking Raiders game. There is a long running history of violence and death that took years to crack down on. Even now you still see it crop up - Millwall at West Ham just last month, for example. If you can honestly sit there and tell me that you don't think those traveling Arsenal fans weren't on the brink because of him "just sliding in front of them," then either you're fucking blind, or you've never see a riot before in your life.

It's not like he scored at that end of the pitch and just happened to slide that direction either. The goal was at the complete opposite end, and he sprinted down there to do that.

I'm considering hopping the pond for a match this weekend.

Poll:

Which premiership game would you go to this weekend?

I'd was pondering the Chelsea-Tottenham derby due to a promising game and proximity to Heathrow, but that's sort of ruled out due to sold out/assumed incredibly high scalp price.

I was also thinking Hull City-Birmingham, but I have no clue if it's feasible to travel from London to Kingston upon Hull.

Wrong.

Quote :
"Gary Neville paid a heavy price for his baiting of Liverpool supporters when the Football Association fined him £5,000 yesterday and issued him with a formal warning about his future conduct. Never one to go down quietly, the Manchester United captain immediately denounced the decision, questioning whether the authorities wanted the game to be played by "robots".

Neville's response was so withering it is distinctly possible that another letter from the FA's disciplinary department might be sent to Old Trafford, marked for his attention. "I am extremely disappointed with the decision," said the England international defender. "It's a poor decision, not just for me but for all footballers. And I ask the authorities: 'where is football being taken?'" With heavy sarcasm, he continued: "Being a robot, devoid of passion and spirit, is obviously the way forward for the modern-day footballer.""

OH NO! not another letter from the FA's disciplinary department might be sent to Old Trafford, marked for his attention!!!! ^ what Neville did against Liverpool is the EXACT same thing as what Adebayor did dude... he ran the whole length of the field to be an asshole
