The can itself is a morale booster. It's a really good product honestly. The bacon is actually quite good, particularly if you're hungry. There is only the SLIGHTEST taste of preservative. It's not like in water or anything, it's just bacon wrapped in wax paper with some grease at the lid. You unroll the paper and it reveals a fuckton of bacon. Honestly, there is no better canned meat product in the world in my opinion. I will devour it in emergency situations. It's also a pretty high energy food, which is nice in such emergencies. One can will feed a good number of people.

As much as I think it is stupid to go out and buy bread and milk en masse when it is going to snow, you are in an even less intelligent subgroup if you let the milk go bad because you leave it in your warmish house (no power) when it is as cold or colder outside than your fridge would have been...

Kinda reminds me of grade school. I remember one time we got the day off because the weatherman said it would snow - then it turned out to get in the mid 50s, so it was a nice day off with not even one flake of snow.
