We literally looked helpless out there for much of the afternoon -- missing dozens of wide open shots, turning the ball over like never before -- and still had a chance to win at the buzzer. I don't know if I'm pleased or pissed about that.

I don't disagree that Mays isn't great, but he's all we had this game. With Farnold hurt and CJ Williams in a coma, we had to play him. I don't hate the guy -- he just doesn't have a great skill set. Free throws, jump shots ... that's about it.

I think I heard Painter is out performing him in practice. Personally, I'd play Vandy before Painter regardless simply because of his shot-blocking/rebounding. I think Sid is wanting more offense though, and Painter is a better scorer/shooter

we're not in the picture right now. To make the nit you have to almost make the ncaa. If you don't think we have a shot at the NCAA, then we probably don't have a shot at the NIT. There just aren't that many at large bids and the teams that get them are just teams that had their NCAA bubble busted by shitty teams winning conferences.

MIA has an incredibly inflated overall record due to a joke schedule, I've been watching/attending their games all year. Frank Haith is a miserable miserable coach and I can't believe they beat VT the other day (they almost squandered a 17 point lead).

I missed the first part of the radio broadcast, but I didn't hear the radio guys make any mention of it. I'm pretty sure he just ran down the tunnel a little and then came back out... Raycom is just such a terrible broadcaster that they didn't pick up on any of it.

actually to come back like they did, the way they've played since Duke is very encouraging and indicative of the coach getting them to keep their heads up and fight. A game like this could be a wake-up/turnaround type game (or it might not), but if so we can point back to this game. I think we actually have the talent, they've just got to believe they are good enough to beat anyone in the conference.
