thought about just the 231 behind a 4l60e so i can do some spinning. LQ9ish... would love an ls2 but budget would dictate actually getting the completed project driving... then engine upgrades

depending on what treatment the LSx gets, you should able to spin whatever combination of tires you want.

speaking of which, if you're going to build it anyway, I wonder if it might be better to just save your money and start with an LS1, rather than paying extra money for a lot of shit you'll just upgrade anyway.
