we should have won this game. Syracuse was shooting terribly from the court and from the line the entire 2nd half and we just couldn't put anything in ourselves. The shot clock violations, the threes we were just throwing up...all ridiculous. Our play calling and/or execution was just pathetic the last half of the 2nd.

The truth is Wood can't do everything. If we used Javi more as a three-point threat, it would not only save Wood's energy, but give him easier shot opportunities, which spells even less energy spent. Smith will add points to the board, and more dynamics to the inside out game, but I'm not impressed with our guards yet.

Yeah, you have to be able to call and run a good play in the end game situation.

If javi couldn't do it, get Harrow to do it. We missed some putback opportunities on missed shots, too.

Really? We had a good game plan that really slowed Syracuse down on offense, and knew exactly how to play against their zone defense. The only thing that you can blame on the coaches is the poor play coming out of timeouts imo. They weren't the ones out there fumbling the ball and making stupid mistakes.

They cut down on the substitutions as well so the players on the court weren't constantly changing.

it was "good enough" but we could have and should have won that game. If we were just a little tighter there at the end of the game we would have a GREAT win for our resume

our talent and their inability to make shots kept us in this game. Turnovers absolutely killed us. I am happy that we seemed to learn how to rebound tonight
