William is definitely in one pair with his girlfriend, and there's a guy that looks like Sam, but I'm not 100% sure it's him. I watched it on my phone, though.

More importantly, though, ED SCHRADER'S MUSIC BEAT.

Haven't read the whole thread so I don't know if it's been mentioned or if anyone even cares anymore. But Aesop Rock put out his first new album since 2007, Skelethon, in July. Definitely digging it right now. Plus it's a $2.99 download special this week on Amazon.

god damn, that dan deacon song is horrendous to my ears, but i've never really been a fan.

i can't stop playing "yet again" by Grizzly Bear. jesus, that's a great song.

I thought I talked about the new Spider Bags in here before, but it appears I didn't.

The new record is awesome, not in small part because it successfully captures a lot of what makes them such a great live band. I've always felt bad that the Cherry Valence never made a record that actually sounded like the band, so I'm glad Spider Bags have been able to do that with this album. The songs are pretty damn awesome, too.

I haven't heard the new record but yeah, at Hopscotch last year i was surprised at how fucking intense and awesome they were compared to A Celebration of Hunger.

so there's this band called shark week from DC that just released a 3 song EP yesterday. i think it's pretty good. i don't really hear a lot coming out of DC that i care for, so it's nice to find something i like for once so i can have a bit more pride in my city, i guess

^^ Talked about it earlier in the thread, but can't talk about it enough. One of the best live bands you'll ever see, and they've finally made a record that explores that side of their personality. Their other LPs are quite good (and a couple of their 7"s even better), but this is easily their best work to date.

well that settles that, i'm an ex-animal collective fan, maybe I just aged out of it cause I do not enjoy a single song on that album

it sounds like primus, phish, and chiptunes had a baby

the new dan deacon should replace the star spangled banner as the national anthem. i would happily stand and listen to all 45 minutes of it before a sporting event.

I hope this one is a grower

it sounds exactly like you would expect an Animal Collective album to sound, which is fine, but nothing is jumping out

this is only after one listen and I'm sure it will need some time to sink in

just got around to listening to last week's all songs considered podcast, and if the new amanda palmer song they played is indicative of what the rest of her new record sounds like, it's going to be incredible. i couldn't find it streaming anywhere else, so you have to scroll down the page a bit.
