Did Klopp miss the 2-3 months Kagawa was hurt? Its ridiculous to think Kagawa won't have a bigger role at United next year. He didn't really get going until the end of the season, the title was basically over by then.

He's understandably bitter. It's okay.

Ferguson wasn't using him like he was at Dortmund though, I think that's what he's saying.

I too was a little surprised Kagawa didn't play a bigger role for United. I said before the season that I thought he was legit.

Read on ESPN.com today that the Bundesliga has now lead all other major leagues (Spain, England, Italy, and France) in goals per 90 for 23 consecutive years.

Not sure that really tells us anything but the stat, but interesting nonetheless.

with Rooney on his way out we'll see Kagawa playing in the hole where he belongs, not wasted on the wing.

Ribs on the UEFA Executive Committee exposed?

http://espnfc.com/news/story/_/id/1457743/europa-league-winners-get-champions-league-place?cc=5901

UEFA is set to announce on Friday a change to Europa League rules that will award the winners a place in the Champions League - but it is as yet unclear what afftect it could have on teams who qualify via league position.

UEFA will also consider raising to five the limit on the number of sides from one association in the Champions League, having for many years ruled that there should be a maximum of four.

Wish I was in London right now, those Dortmund fans are out in force. If Bayern lose though, is there a club that chokes more than them in a final?

Anybody else notice how Lewondowsky stepped on that dude's ankle? The American commentators didn't seem too interested by it, but it looked like an obvious red card if the ref spotted it.

Dortmund's style of play was really impressive. I can't believe they can keep up that level of intense pressing for so long and then still have so much energy to put numbers into the attack. Also thought it was neat how their center backs were eager to join in when they saw the opportunity.

Yeah, but I imagine it's hard to keep that pressure up for 90 minutes. They really needed to convert all that early flash into a goal, and didn't (though they usually do, and I totally thought it was coming here.) I agree they're delightful to watch.

I think having götze on the field might have made the difference. Looks like bayern just bought him with all the money they're winning from champions league. But Dortmund are going to have a ton of money to spend this summer.

Germany are steamrolling Ecuador 3-0 through less than 20 minutes so far, including a goal less than 10 seconds in.

Seeing as how this is the German B team at best, if this isn't the Ecuadorian C or D team, LOL at their #10 ranking.

'Madman' Pep ready for Bayern arrival

Incoming Bayern Munich coach Pep Guardiola has been working like "a madman" ahead of his first press conference at the club on June 24.

With Guardiola's Bundesliga arrival only a fortnight away, German media have already begun their coverage.

On Monday, kicker published the first part of a 'Pep Guardiola story' that will come to an end on June 24. The 'story' is divided into five parts, looking at 'Where it all began', 'Guardiola: the player', 'Guardiola: the coach', 'Guardiola: the world traveller' and 'Guardiola: the person'.

On Sunday, meanwhile, Der Spiegel published an interview with Guardiola's brother, Pere, who revealed that the former Barcelona coach has been working hard to learn enough German in time for his maiden Bayern press conference.

"He is a stubborn dog, he will do it," he said, adding that Guardiola has been learning German "like a madman" for four hours every day.

While in Barcelona for an Easter break, the former Spain international was joined by a German teacher.

"It's absurd. You meet him for lunch and that guy is talking German with his teacher all the time," Pere said.

According to Pere, his brother has been learning German ever since November, nearly two months before his appointment at Bayern was made public in January."

Really looking forward to Brazil-Japan. Could be a good game. Japan is Quarterfinal at World Cup good.

Anyway, nice to see Brazil being Brazil with massive riots last night. Hopefully no Americans get killed or kidnapped in 2014 in that shithole.

** Really wish the US won the Gold Cup to be in this two summers ago but I guess I can't be too upset since that was the end of Bradly and I really like Klinsmann. Can't believe it has been four years since the Spain game.

"Steve Nash is going to try to become a soccer player again -- if only momentarily.

The Los Angeles Lakers guard and two-time NBA MVP will have a tryout of sorts Tuesday with Inter Milan, just before the team opens play in the Guinness International Champions Cup tournament that's coming to the U.S. starting next week. The tournament pits eight club teams from around the world, with a winner to be crowned in Miami on Aug. 7."
