sounds like you may be eligible for an annual upgrade since you only get the regular 2 yr contract price instead of the extra NE2 if you wait. All eligible lines have 1 more annual upgrade or NE2 to use assuming they previously upgraded before Jan 16th.

gd I wish I had never dropped my DX.

1st DX Asurion sent had a problem with the screen out of the box. The DX2 they sent to replace the replacement DX continuously presses "1" internally and thus won't let me activate the phone (which probably wouldn't work right anyway if I could activate it). I called Asurion about it and got passed on to Verizon to try and see if they can activate it manually to see if it is just a problem with activation or the hardware on the phone.

The DX I just received was fine the first few days. It's starting to randomly lock up and reboot for no reason whatsoever. Not rooted or anything yet.

Called tonight and they're sending a replacement (unknown if it's a DX or DX2).

We'll see how this goes.

Good luck. I finally got another DX2 today and have no major problems with it so far. Until I dropped it and messed up the screen, I never had any problems with my original DX after having it for over a year. Glad to finally have a working replacement though.

Does anyone else with the Asus Transformer ever have issues where the charger seemingly stops working? I saw posts on Google where people tell you to put the charger in the freezer for a bit, that didn't work though. Stupid proprietary charger.

Not that I need them that much at this point, but I went ahead and picked up 3 "2000mAh" batteries and a charger for $12 off eBay. I had good luck with similar batteries in my Evo 4G so I figured I'd give these a try.

Also, my data on my phone is not working. I cannot open any webpages and angry birds will not load. My Wi-fi works on my computer, but not the phone. And I have signal, both 3g and wi-fi. Any ideas? I would normally ask Brett but he'll be gone all day for a disc golf tournament.

meh Quadrant is overrated and easily exploited and linpack is optimized for Qualcomm processors iirc so it's a crapshoot.

They supposedly will throttle you if you're in the top 5% and if the towers you're on are overloaded. Who knows exactly what that threshold is though.

So my OG Droid is about at the end of its days, since the soft keys at the bottom do not work anymore. I've temporarily installed an app called "SoftKeys" that emulates the keys but the whole system is sluggish now. I'm running CyanogenMod 7.1 on it now, and have reverted to earlier saved roms to see if that was the problem. I even tried putting the latest version of MIUI on it.

So my question is -- how can I revert back to a completely original stock setting (with the latest version of Stock Froyo, unrooted?) Would it make sense to remove the bootloader?

This is kind of just a last effort to get the phone in working order, while I pray that the Droid Bionic gets released soon.
