Well he'd obviously be a collegiate hall of famer if the NFL hadnt been begging so hard for his services.
I mean when you walk onto the field as a freshman and you're instantly the best PLAYER in college football at the most difficult position to learn... that's saying something.
I wouldn't bet on him being a HoFamer in teh NFL because i dont know if he'll be healthy enough, but Im sure no one is doubting that he's talented enough... 11/28/2006 2:19:57 AM |

ok, i'm gonna list out the numbers for Vick based on his performance THIS YEAR since it has been stated that he is "ballin out" and having a "Golden God" like year, so here goes...
QB Rating: 72.1 (25th in the league) Pass Completions: 149 (24th in the league) Completion %: 51.2 (31th in the league) Yards: 1770 (24th in the league) Yards per Attempt: 6.08 (29th in the league) Touchdowns: 13 (Tied for 11th) Touchdown %: 4.5 (12th in the league) Interceptions: 9 (Tied for 15th in the league) Interception %: 3.1 (20th in the league) Rushing Yards: 870 (1st among QB's) Rushing TD's: 2 (4th among QB's, he also has 4 fumbles, 2 of which were lost)
ok, so those numbers aren't too impressive... I'm gonna go ahead and add some of the numbers together because I know that is what you're gonna do, so...
Total Total Yards (passing + rushing): 2640 (would rank around the bottom of the top 10) Touchdowns: 12 (would rank him around the bottom of the top 10 as well, even if you don't count the turnovers)
ok, PLEASE respond to statistics.... especially you Rally, you have refused to respond to statistics this entire thread.
you promised you wouldn't post here again until he made the pro bowl, so you broke that promise and now you might as well go ahead and break the trend of suckin vick's cock w/out any evidence of his "greatness"... i don't know where you can find it in the numbers he is putting up

do you have a stat for number of dropped passes? 11/28/2006 9:05:17 AM |
chipendave All American 634 Posts user info edit post |
if you want to compile one for every QB in the NFL and see where Vick ranks, be my quest... but you will find that dropped passes isn't the main problem, every QB deals w/ dropped passes, some more and some less then Vick.... dropped passes doesn't account for him ranking near the bottom of the league in nearly every statistical category other then rushing yards.
he would have to have had like 100 passes dropped, several for touchdowns, to even begin to boost his poor stats up near the top of the league, and that would be assuming that every other QB had NO dropped passes, which is bogus. look how low his averages are, he is ranked 20-30 in almost every category.

This guy just doesnt get enough hype for all the things he does on the field.
His numbers would have been completely outrageous today if his receivers could have held onto the ball.

BTW..."outstanding performance"??? He barely hit 50% of his passes. And look at the numbers above for "dropped passes."
About 180 yds total offense?? Maybe we should give him a pat on the back for not turning it over at critical times.

read the thread... specific stats for dropped balls have been shown above and the Falcons are about average in the league in dropped passes. under that rational, every other QB i the league would also have much better stats and therefore Vick wouldn't be any better comparatively 12/4/2006 12:55:24 PM |

You gotta hand it to Vick for valiantly leading his team back into this playoff race.
Tampa always does a good job of gameplanning for Vick and this Sunday was no different. He wasn't effective running the football but he did a good job of completing passes.
Had Ashley Lelie run the correct route he would have had 1 TD and 0 INT instead of vice versa.
Still a good job to overcome all the controversy and midseason losing streak to get his team back into the thick of things. 12/11/2006 11:45:26 AM |

Exactly. Something that Jake Delhomme can't do with probably a top 5 NFC defense and the top receiver in the NFC. I can't wait to see what these "statistics" people say when Vick beats Carolina again because you know it is going to happen. Panthers fans need to take blinders off and look at how bad their team is and how good it would be with Vick at the helm. Williams/Foster would be so much better.12/11/2006 12:45:34 PM |

get his dick out of the back of your throat.
if youre excited about a QB going to the record books for rushing when his QB rating for the year is mid 70s, his completion record is just at or below 50% for the year, and before an unusually decent performance last night he had thrown 10 interceptions compared to 15 touchdowns for the entire year, then you dont understand a QBs job
