I did the CVS deals while I was home. I was AMAZED they had EVERYTHING that was free after ECB's almost. I spent $7 for some necessities...and got some ECB's to start rolling...
Then I took my boyfriend's mom to show her how to use ECB's...I got tampons, covergirl pressed powder, 2 loreal lip glosses, a hershey bar, sally hansen nail polish, baby lotion (for boyfriend's niece), clear tape, and Q-tips and a few other items for 1.93.
She was like and I was like !
Can't wait for the deals at kmart. Should help me finish up with the girl's stockings at least and restock my classroom on some items. 11/30/2008 12:02:49 AM |

^ECB=Extra Care Bucks. You can go to CVS.com and read about the program. It's a little card like the MVP at food lion but instead of taking money off your order, it prints out "ECB money" at the bottom of the receipt if you purchase qualifying items. So you can use ECB's the next time to pay for stuff.
^^I saw that. It has a few good Q's in it but nothing to jump over.
Also, there's a deal at WalGreens this week on the single Bic Soleil razors or refills...it's Buy one, Get one Free....so you buy two refills, or two razors(DO NOT mix and match razors and refills, it DOES NOT work, trust me!) and use TWO of the $3 coupons from a few weeks ago ($3 off one refill or $3 off one razor) and you get two refills or two razors for $1.
YOU HAVE TO USE TWO COUPONS. Yes, it is buy one, get one free, but you can use a coupon for each item you have, even a "free" item. Sometimes the managers will not allow this but I didn't have a problem this morning when I got two razors and two refills for $2.
I finished all the older girl's stockings! Now for the younger boys and baby girls.... 11/30/2008 4:04:45 PM |

i went thanksgiving morning. and got all the free stuff on my card, my moms, and a couple of friends' cards. did quite a few transactions so i didnt have to spend any money oop My friends loved it even though it took us some time to roll the ecbs with random $/$$ coupons printing. Great deals! Was able to get lots of stockingstuffers for my mom and boyfriend.12/1/2008 11:50:37 AM |

I am not directing this towards you, nicklepickle, but you post made me think about this...
Don't you guys hate it when people abuse the system? Like, every now and again, I might think about asking my boyfriend to get an ECB card for me to use on a really super deal....or maybe think about asking his mom if I could use hers...but when a single person has MULTIPLE cards and buys as many of each item as they can just because they are free...well, it just makes me sad that greed like exists. And then they say, "Well, I donate it!"
Well donate it to some of the fellow couponers out there who find an empty shelf whenever they get there a few minutes behind your greedy ass. 12/1/2008 4:32:21 PM |

^ Like the gay duo at CVS on Thanksgiving! They came the day before and filled a cart full of all of the ECB freebies. They cleaned some shelves completely. Then when the store opened, they just got there cart and checked out! 12/1/2008 6:30:09 PM |

^Really? I wish CVS would stop letting people do that. I'm glad I wasn't there because I would have said something to them. Greed like that is just inexcusable. No one needs an entire shelf of lipgloss or shampoo..I mean, really.
That makes me so mad! Especially when these people go and SELL it at yard sales or online in bulk.
I coupon because I need to! As a teacher, we only get a certain amount of money so I use coupons to get some things for my classroom most teachers don't have like hand sanitizers, air fresheners, cleaning wipes, and supples. 12/1/2008 8:43:35 PM |

I have cut way back on CVS shopping. Not worth the hassle when stuff is almost always out of stock.
I hope I can get my grad school funding back, not having any income and it being much more difficult to get free stuff sucks. I need to find some of the shelf clearers and make them donate to me. Give a college student a couple ECB deals so they can earn enough bucks to buy some milk, sheesh. 12/1/2008 9:48:08 PM |

For those of you who love mints or need some cheap stocking stuffers, there's Altoids Smalls on MVP at Food lion for 1.29 and right beside them on the large Altoids tins are "$1.00 off NOW" coupons, making them 29 cents a tin. I got some of these tonight when I ran in for salad fixings.
By the way, Sargento Salad fixings and potato toppers are NOT worth it...even with the 74 cent off coupon, they are 2.25 and it's like, a tiny bag of each item - cheese, bacon, chicken, croutons. Not worth it IMO. 12/7/2008 7:31:19 PM |

The small tube of St. Ives lotion is $.99 so free after coupon!
There is also an in-ad coupon for $5 off when you buy any 10 Powerade, Vitaminwater or Smartwater. They are on sale for $1 each. So $10/10 bottles - $5 coupon= $5.
But then you can use the coupon from this past week to get a free powerade when you buy 2 vitamin waters. Use 3 of those q's and get 10 bottles for ~$2 12/10/2008 10:09:22 AM |

Thanks for the tip on the GUM. I have a bunch of crossaction from walgreens a while ago, but I get the GUM kid's brushes to donate to the women's shelter. 12/11/2008 12:33:07 AM |

The lipglosses are kick ass." |
thanks for this!
Went this morning and bought 2 Maybelline lip glosses ($8.49 each). They took one off and I was able to use two $4 coupons. I also bought a Schick Intuition Razor ($6.99-$3 Easy Saver coupon from December Walgreens book=$3.99-$2 q from Sunday's paper= $1.99). And I also bought two 20oz Coke Zeros.
OOP was $6.28 and I received a register reward for $5 off my next purchase...Don't know why though. I thought you had to spend $25 to get it.12/11/2008 9:12:16 AM |

Gosh, I wish I could do the things you ladies do - as far as cheap deals at CVS/Walgreens/Rite Aid. I never seem to look for stuff like that. I feel good when I save $9 with coupons at Harris Teeter. 12/11/2008 9:27:23 AM |

they are usually in the store right next to the ads
if you don't see them, you can ask a Walgreens employee and they might have some behind the register. 12/11/2008 3:42:29 PM |
