I'm gonna need Kobe to show up in this series.

I also would love to see KG win a title, so, I'm happy either way, I just want to see a good back and forth game.

the refs in this game were ridiculous. every time the Celtics drove, they went to the line.

Lakers will win the next 3

I fuckin knew somethin smelled like Dwayne Wade. guys wheeled to the locker room, huge discrepancy in free throws.... c'mon!

but a 38-10 disparity at the line is uncalled for.

Don't know where to put this but former Pack great Vinny Del Negro has been offered the Bulls job and will accept according to ESPNEWS.

Go Pack! Once again we will have 2 alumni coaching with him and McMillan.

shitty refs

no wonder there has been such a lopsided home/away record throughout the playoffs

Celtics still win last night...despite the refs.

I think they do better keeping a 12-14pt lead then a 24-pt lead (sounds like dumb logic...but they absolutely quit trying to do anything other than run out the clock when they got the 20-pt lead).

How bad were the refs in the first game again?? I don't remember it being that bad. And how about Sasha's leisurely stroll from the 3-point line to the basket after picking up his dribble?? That was a pretty huge play.

i dont really remember the refs being so bad in game 1 but i dont know how anybody who watched the game last night could think it was officiated with complete fairness...first quarter set the tone...for example one play gasol got a feed and made the layup and garnett obviously fouled him and they didnt call it...then 1st quarter kobe is near the 3 point line calling for the ball, and they call an offensive foul on him for nothing...those calls are polar opposites if/when the games are played in LA...its fucked up...i guess the NBA is pretty deadset on this series going 7 games and they figured they had to call it that way last night to facilitate a 7 game series

First off, it was Radmonovic.

Second off, you know that whole two wrongs don't make a right, saying? Well, one non-call doesn't undo thirty bad calls.

The refs in the first game were Celtics slanted, but nowhere near as bad as last night.

^^i at least figured once the NBA got its dream matchup, they'd at least let the players decide who won the games and not the refs

heres an example of a game played at Boston where the refs called it fairly (i'm only half joking with this example)

http://www.nba.com/games/20080109/CHABOS/boxscore.html

Boston only shot 6 more free throws than their opponent in this game

you know, when you look at total fouls for the game instead of just trips to the line, the lakers had 7 more than boston (28 to 21)

OMFG THAT'S 33% MORE! CONSPIRACY!

I'm not looking at any stats...I just watched the game last night...thats all I needed...no surprise a Boston fan like yourself wouldn't agree though

Pretty blatant elbow he gave to Ray Allen. I remember Kobe didn't even bitch about the call that much...he knows he got caught.

Does that even matter?

I didn't say it did. I just said that was a pretty bad call that was in favor of the Lakers. And I'm not saying the calls didn't favor Boston...because they did...but I also don't think its not nearly as bad as everyone is making it out to be. First of all...I wouldn't be surprised at all to see the Lakers get the majority if the calls in LA...that's usually how it happens on your home court. Second...the Lakers rarely attacked the basket. Gasol is like 6 for 6 in the first quarter, then they quit going to him...that was retarded. Then they put two defenders between Kobe and the basket every time he got the ball...limiting his chances to get to the basket. The only other guy trying to take it to the whole was Odom, and he was out of control half the time he did it.

Again, I'm not saying the calls weren't one-sided, because they were to an extent...but the Lakers weren't helping themselves at all. And Boston was hustling about ten times as hard as the Lakers. I couldn't keep count how many loose ball offensive rebounds they got last night...it was ridiculous. They just looked like they wanted more the past two games. When you add that to the fact that the big three are playing well, Rondo has friggin 16 assists, Leon Powe goes off, Posey is hitting open threes. You guys are acting like the refs are the sole cause for the 2-0 lead when that's not even close to the truth.

Farmar and Vujacic...seriously, do you know who PJ Brown is? Do you know what incident is responsible for players being penalized for leaving the bench during a brawl. PJ could take both those clowns with one hand....Classic laugh from PJ too, hilarious....

Kobe "Get up, bitch !" at that last free throw

And open acknowledging the officiating discrepancy

Tafoya's like "How have you guys been able to get to the line so much more"

and he's like "I don't know, we're just playing the same way"

LOL, Lamar Odom is good for at least 2 turnovers in the final 5 minutes of every close game.

I don't know why they bother passing the ball to him in crunch time. He either commits a charge, gets stripped or passes to the crowd.

yes

what really gets me about the home court officiating is that every analyst and personality they bring in acts like it's no big deal and that of course you are going to have a huge foul discrepancy in your favor at home. wtf?
