Just watched it. I thought this was the best episode of the season. Sylar back to his old self - the cake! thing was effing hilarious. There was finally more focus on the Hiro storyline. Claire actually did some semi-decent acting in the scene w/ Noah.

The way they manifested the catalyst as that gay light that transfers from person to person was stupid and there are lots of holes in the whole catalyst storyline. Other than that, it was a good episode and kept me entertained. Improvement over the crap they were putting out before this.

So that was kind of gay. First of all if Sylar is really gone there's pretty much no incentive to watch Season 4 other than just simple curiosity. Why is Mohinder not dead yet? Why is Jessica/Nikki/Traci not dead yet? They are killing off the best characters and keeping the crappy ones. I still hate how Nathan's transition into what looks like is turning out to be this ultimate bad guy character was defined by a shitty 30 second dialogue a few episodes back. Ando's power is gay and it was stupid that they learned how to use it so precisely so quickly.

Not sure if I'm gonna watch Season 4

So now that Peter has his original power back, I guess that means he needs to be around people to get their powers again? That scratch on his cheek didn't heal instantly when he got his power back. So I guess all he can do now is make fire and fly.

How did Mohinder get out of that place before it blew? And will Mohinder have powers now?

We already know that Meredith can't be burned so I don't see why they are crying about her being dead.

Of course Sylar isn't dead. He's one of the few badasses left on the show.

I thought the powers you got depended on the person, not on which syringe you use? It's not like the syringe was labeled "flight power" or something - he wouldn't have known. My guess is that the original comment was correct and he now has the ability to use people's powers when he's near them again.

So, when we saw the scene of Ando zapping Hiro and "killing him," what was actually happening? Obviously Ando's power doesn't kill people - at least not right now.

And I too was wondering how running "really fast" (see speed of light) allows you to travel both forwards and backwards in time. If anything, it would only allow you to travel backwards...

Maybe Ando in that future was a more hostile person so because of that he got an aggressive power. In this future he just wants to help and be a hero, so he got a power that assists others. I wouldn't look too much into the future stuff. I'd be surprised if Peter ever gets his scar.

On a good note, apparently next season they are going to stop relying on time travel. Thank god.

its the future, they change events so really the writers can pick and choose what to use from those flash fowards.

I'm not sure Hiro will be able to get his powers back any time soon. It seems the new storyline is going to start with them quickly getting captured, how could he get them back? As far as we know all the formula is destroyed. I have a feeling Hiro is going to use this time to try and be a hero without powers.

Running really fast is supposed to take you forward in time, not back. That was just wrong, but this is a show about people with super powers so you can only go so far with nitpicking. They should have just used a flux capacitor rather than misuse an existing science thing.

You are saying two different things.

1. Relativity says that the time for the person nearing the speed of light slows down while time proceeds at the "same" rate for everyone else. So, when the fast person stops, he will return to a world that has advanced father into the future -- effectively sending the fast person into the future.

Relativity doesn't say shit about time slowing down, stopping, and then reversing as you go past it. The central assertion of special relativity is that nothing (information) can go faster than the speed of light.

2.
- Thus, Einstein's relatively expressly prohibits faster-than-light travel.
- Other theories speculate about how one might travel faster than the speed of light, but that not the same as saying backwards time travel is possible.
- Other theories say that time travel back to when a time machine was built is possible.
- I don't think there are any major theories that describe travel to a time before a time machine is built.

I'm pretty certain that Hiro saw Ando enhancing his powers and not killing him. He just didn't know.
I thought it was cool. It kind of clears Ando of wrong doing, at least for the time being. Which is good because I like his character.

If its true that heroes who had powers taken get the same ones back when they use the formula then it may also stand to reason that they retain the power in a small unusable state that Ando can juice back to a point where it works again.
