Chargers looked real good yesterday. Especially their defense. It has vastly improved and I can't really pin point why.

They look like a playoff team again after starting slow again.

I think their defensive scheme has changed a lot. After the first Denver loss they just started blitzing more and a lot of it came from secondary. They still do that, but they've been mixing it up more. I also think Merriman has gotten his "game legs" back and is finally causing some disruption on the line and they are actually getting a little pressure without having to blitz all the time (they still need to get more pressure...there are still a lot of times when the QB has way too much time).

Will be interesting to see if their running game continues to improve. Even though they've been churning up some yards, they still aren't getting anything big and LT isn't exactly being "explosive"...he's just getting a few holes getting some decent 4-6 yard gains.

It's just nice to see Rivers not have to put up 350+yards for them to be in the game.
