I had a nightmare about the World Cup. Alexi Lalas was both the play-by-play and color man. The nightmare finally ended when I offed myself.

If you're looking for US Jerseys I know a place where you can get them for free. It's in Princeton, NJ from May 17th - 23rd. You need to get the locker room key from a guy named Clyde, PM me for details.

google light in the box soccer jersey-they take about a month to get there and order sizes that are way too big. A normal large would be a double x etc.

You can also google soccerplanet75. They dont have U.S. jerseys but they have a nice selection overall. They only come in European M and XL sizes (M = U.S. small, XL = U.S. large)

AGREED! Why would you want to wear a Mexico jersey? That would be like wearing a UNC Jersey to class everyday at NC State.

I hope this World Cup is remembered for something good in general.

There seem to be many different opportunities for that to be the case, given a number of factors. I just hope it's not the same old stuff.

No Totti, Toni, or Del Piero, but Rossi makes it

Quote :
"Italy coach Marcello Lippi has kept his promise by rewarding the players who helped the Azzurri qualify for the finals with a place in his provisional squad, meaning Francesco Totti missed out.

There is no place for Totti, despite his form for Scudetto challengers Roma and widespread speculation he would be given the chance to revive his international career after being absent since the World Cup triumph in 2006.

Villarreal striker Giuseppe Rossi was included as a seventh striker at the expense of Juventus defender Nicola Legrottaglie and is the only foreign-based player in the squad, but there is no place for Roma forward Luca Toni or Juventus veteran Alessandro Del Piero.

Toni had hoped that his loan move from Bayern Munich to Roma would help him secure a place in Lippi's squad. Del Piero, meanwhile, had an indifferent season in Serie A and will not travel to the finals, bringing an end to his run of appearances at major finals for his country.

Italy provisional squad:

Goalkeepers: Gianluigi Buffon (Juventus), Morgan De Sanctis (Napoli), Federico Marchetti (Cagliari), Salvatore Sirigu (Palermo)

Defenders: Gianluca Zambrotta (AC Milan), Fabio Cannavaro (Juventus), Giorgio Chiellini (Juventus), Christian Maggio (Napoli), Leonardo Bonucci (Bari), Fabio Grosso (Juventus), Domenico Criscito (Genoa), Mattia Cassani (Palermo), Salvatore Bocchetti (Genoa)

Midfielders: Andrea Pirlo (Milan), Gennaro Gattuso (Milan), Daniele De Rossi (Roma), Riccardo Montolivo (Fiorentina), Mauro Camoranesi (Juventus), Angelo Palombo (Sampdoria), Antonio Candreva (Juventus), Andrea Cossu (Cagliari), Claudio Marchisio (Juventus), Simone Pepe (Udinese)

Forwards: Fabio Quagliarella (Napoli), Giuseppe Rossi (Villarreal), Vincenzo Iaquinta (Juventus), Antonio Di Natale (Udinese), Marco Borriello (Milan), Alberto Gilardino (Fiorentina), Giampaolo Pazzini (Sampdoria). "

Those of you that know much more than I, how strong is this England squad?

Quote :
"Fabio Capello has confirmed his provisional 30-man England squad for the World Cup, with six Tottenham players making the list, including uncapped centre-back Michael Dawson.

Dawson has been rewarded for an exceptional season with Spurs, in which he has helped the club qualify for next season's Champions League, and he will be joined in the squad by central defensive partner Ledley King.

Capello has consistently maintained that he will not pick injured players, but both King - who is unable to train because of a chronic knee injury - and Gareth Barry, who is out with an ankle injury, have been included.

Jamie Carragher is selected for the first time under Fabio Capello, after the England coach convinced him to come out of international retirement, and the Liverpool defender will provide cover at right-back for club team-mate Glen Johnson.

Spurs midfielder Tom Huddlestone is included along with team-mate Aaron Lennon, who will compete with Shaun Wright-Phillips, Theo Walcott, James Milner, Joe Cole and talented Manchester City youngster Adam Johnson for the wide midfield positions.

Cole, who had been tipped to be overlooked, returns to the England squad for the first time since 2008, joining Chelsea team-mates and Three Lions stalwarts John Terry, Frank Lampard and Ashley Cole.

Manchester United pair Owen Hargreaves and Gary Neville had been tipped for a possible call-up but both miss out, while it is mixed fortunes for the West Ham contenders as Scott Parker is selected but Carlton Cole misses out.

England provisional squad:

Goalkeepers: Joe Hart (Man City), David James (Portsmouth), Robert Green (West Ham)

Defenders: Leighton Baines (Everton), Jamie Carragher (Liverpool), Ashley Cole (Chelsea), Michael Dawson (Spurs), Rio Ferdinand (Man Utd), Glen Johnson (Liverpool), Ledley King (Spurs), John Terry (Chelsea), Matthew Upson (West Ham), Stephen Warnock (Aston Villa)

Midfielders: Gareth Barry (Man City), Michael Carrick (Man Utd), Joe Cole (Chelsea), Steven Gerrard (Liverpool), Tom Huddlestone (Spurs), Adam Johnson (Man City), Frank Lampard (Chelsea), Aaron Lennon (Spurs), James Milner (Aston Villa), Scott Parker (West Ham), Theo Walcott (Arsenal), Shaun Wright-Phillips (Man City)

Forwards: Darren Bent (Sunderland), Peter Crouch (Spurs), Jermain Defoe (Spurs), Emile Heskey (Aston Villa), Wayne Rooney (Man utd)"

^ You're insane.

That back line is about as solid as you can get, and Joe Hart was keeper of the year.

That midfield will absolutely run teams ragged with its speed on the wings and technical ability in the middle, as well. This looks like one of the best England squads in years.

i hate that capello didn't pick ashley young, but then again, he didn't really pick any left winger. i guess adam johnson and milner can play over there, same with cole. its a good squad, but everybody always says that about england.

England have yet to play a conventional LW since Capello arrived. I don't know why everyone is always surprised.

I was stating it more out of national pride than realism. England is clearly the favorite in that match up but we're undefeated against them in World Cup play.

That Spanish midfield is ridiculous. They should be able to dominate possession against anyone.

Outside of the US, this is the team I'd like to see the most in the Final.
