He said I was "living in squalor". His young attorney friend had a photo album that had some color and some black and white pictures to try to make a story that the house was dirty or something. These were pictures they took after the house had been hit by a car and there was a lot of broken glass, etc. like I just lived with broken glass all over the place. It was ridiculous.

He even told the judge at one point that there were "prophylactics under the deck" to imply that I was literally having sex with people under my deck.

Basically, I showed the judge pictures I had of the interior of the house (which was pristine) and pointed out the idiocy in him trying to imply I'd go have sex under my deck rather than in my bed 10 feet away. Said that everything he presented was hearsay, and that the pictures were obviously manipulated (black and white vs. color) to make it look as bad as possible and that it was after a fucking car hit the house.

Guy was slimy as hell - he had told me after the accident that I was a great tenant (I paid my rent two months in advance for three years and was never late) and he'd get it all fixed up. Then all of a sudden he told me if I came on the property it was trespassing and he didn't give me a list of damages or any chance to fix/address the alleged damages (both illegal) and tried to keep the two months advance I paid for, plus my deposit, plus charge me extra for damages (??), plus keep the pet deposit, plus get homeowners insurance money.

The judge tore him apart and he fumbled all over himself and looked like an idiot in court. His smug attorney didn't do anything to stop him from soiling his own case.

After I won in court (he also had to pay my legal fees) I ended up reporting him to the CPA board since he was a CPA. He tried on and off for years to try to get me to rescind my claim against him. Fuck him.

That was how I was hoping it went down. I am glad you got your attorney fees covered as well...that whole thing was bullshit. I think it matters not how much sex is being had in a property, not sure what his argument there was. In NC if you have a valid lease and are paying rent on a property you have rights to use it for residential purposes.

I have no idea what was or had gone on under that deck - my place was practically surrounded by project housing and sex offenders so who knows haha
