I dunno I think that Ez build is shit. It might be really strong late game but I think its pretty weak early game. Granted typically I'm playing against Ez as Twitch who can often times shit all over Ez.

Elder Lizard is the most cost efficient item you can buy for an AD. Literally every pro player except for doublelift (who is terrible btw) thinks its a better build than standard AD ezreal.

I never said it wasn't a good build for pros. It isn't a good solo q build unless you know what you are doing with Ez. And right now its FoTM and there are a ton of people doing the build very wrong.

Right now it seems every adc game is either ez or vayne, neither of whom scare me at all.

ironically it's exactly the opposite.


blue build came about in pro games to push ez's early poke advantage and end games early.

blue build is much weaker late than stanard AD ez (which is ironically much weaker than other adc's standard late ad build, hence why it came about period).


blue build is meant to emphasize lower cooldowns and high mana pools to push early advantages over other adc's whos ad hasn't ramped up high enough to overcome the innate damage on ez's q before ad.

^exactly. By the time you have a BF sword and boots or BF sword and vamp scepter I'll already have lizard elder. Which is just as much damage with the regen and CDR.

Its really just the fact that you apply every debuff and onhit effect in the game basically every second and you can kite any champion in the game. Its literally impossible to die. You have so much CDR for your E and the frozen fist proc on your q, you have like 150 armor early as fuck, you have the BORK active to get away or turn an engage when its close. I think the damage output late game is pretty decent between all of the on hit effects proccing on autos, q and your passive its really not that shit. I mean its no hypercarry damage but still

I have never come close to losing a game with the blue build and I will be the first to admit I am absolutely terrible at ezreal.

I disagree. Its perfect for solo queue. It eliminates your need to rely on your team to dish damage. You can easily disengage from 3 bruisers completely if you're playing smart. I'm not saying its hypercarry status but its perfect for carrying because you are completely safe all game and typically shit on people early. Most people don't know how to come back from being behind and will just rage in chat about how their jungler didn't gank or how them sucking is someone elses fault for not calling MIA or going back without pushing their lane.

Its also the perfect solq build because slaying the early game is how you win. You can force almowt anyone to 20min surrender if you dominate early game. Very few people are coordinated enough to work together to climb back. they either surrender or farm and pray for a thrpw

Also. You can still win if you get behind with it. Ignore anyone who says "blue build only works if you're ahead". My support didn't come into lane into lane until lvl 4. Jungler tried to gank when she came (first of all it was nidalee support so that's basically like having 3 enemies in your lane) ANYWAYS jungler ganks when I'm lvl 5, enemy lane is level 4. They kill nidalee instantly, he levels up and kills the jungler as well. Nidalee goes back to being afk for 5 more minutes then I carry the shit out of the game like 14/3/10 or some shit. Its broken. Deal with it. I don't even play AD normally.

Hey guys, a couple months ago there was an event being streamed with live commentary against two teams that I can't remember their names maybe one was Azubu Frost.

I think one of the teams had the jump on the other through some means and were about to wipe the entire other one. (Do you guys call that aced?) Then some shit happened where one of the ultimates completely turned the tables and freaked everyone out and the crowd watching the stream erupted.

I think it was posted on reddit, but I can't find the link and I don't know the characters that were involved. I remember some kind of AOE purple shit and I thought maybe someone was able to reverse another ultimate that changed the tides.

Runes: flat AD Marks, flat AD Quints, flat Armor seals, Magic resist glyphs (Either go scaling per level, or flat) - This is a good rune page to have for every AD as well as most bruisers. People do goofy stuff like throw in lifesteal quints, or a few crit marks.. up to preference.

Masteries: Standard 21 in offense (fill in the left two columns except for 1 point in attack speed) then 9 in defense (3 armor, 1 health regen, 4 + health per level and 1 in veterans scars).

Build Order: I start 1 dorans blade, then I try and stay in lane till at least 1400 so first back you can get cutlass. After that my purchase depends on how much money you have when you go back next... ideally I can go back with around ~1400 and buy attack speed boots along with another dagger. If you manage to get a couple kills before this back and can go back with 1800 then just finish your blade of the ruined king. First two items completed will be attack speed boots and botrk. Then you want to finish your infinity edge, phantom dancer, last whisper and then take your pick of bloodthirster of frozen mallet. Twitch is reallllly good at engaging on people out of position so if you pick up mallet you can often times pick someone off instantly if they stray out at all. Get bloodthirster for more burst if you are finding most fights to be team fights.

I don't like getting a tanky item on twitch only because he shouldn't be close enough to the fight to need it. If you are dying its because you arent killing fast enough and its not going to make a difference to have a GA or warmogs or anything. Only time I would consider a defensive item is if they have someone who can really dive you like a hecarim/voli and you need an extra slow other then just the blade of the ruined king.

If you start blue side you are going to want to take golems, level your expunge first. Try and rush level 2 and duck into the bush, go invisible and try and get a good position on them. They should still be level 1, open the fight with ignite and then try and land 3 or 4 autos and expunge. Should be more then enough to kill someone. This was working pretty consistently for me through most of gold to get first blood.

Level E -> Q -> R -> W. If you are ahead in lane you can just bully with going invis, hit them with cutlass/blade and w and try and land some autos and an expunge. You should have them backing off pretty quickly and should be able to get a big cs lead. If you aren't ahead in lane then just stay back and farm farm farm. Once you complete your last whisper you should be unstoppable damage wise.

Didn't read all that cos Im on my phone but most people run 2 lifesteal quints now and in solo queue 1 crit rune for RNG cheese early game. Mathematically the 2 lifesteal are better. Probably not worth the IP if you don't have them already

Also they are nerfing golem strat. You should be aggressive on the first creep wave to get level 2 first in case you don't already do that

Yeah - if you are on purple lane (or post the golem nerf) you should probably go E-> W and just harass with it. But if you can land a few autos at level one then going E->Q and all in works too.

So I decided to give blue ez a try. Was doing alright early but their jungle was all over us combined with them starting golems they were able to pressure us pretty good (graves + zyra). Finished 1-5, whole team got stomped.

Queued up again and got the same support against the same graves. This time I went twitch and went 16-2.

I guess to be fair I hadn't played ez in a few months. Plus the second game the junglers on both sides mostly stayed out of the way.

I would have to imagine that blue ez is most powerful at two points (assuming even money with their adc)... right after lizard elder finishes and right after completing muramana. Other then that any other adc will outscale you. sure with six items you can kite for days but while you are doing that the 6 item twitch/cait/varus/trist/vayne/mf will destroy your entire team.

That link ignores the fact that you get sheen. You don't wait for muramana to stack. Before buying any other items. The added burst is huge that early in game and you have more mana. Sustained damage isn't as big mid game especially on ezreal. Blue is better until 45+ minutes. I haven't lost a game yet as blue build. Again i will say i am god awful at ezreal

Okay if I must be completely honest, I was unable to carry a game today with support vayne who went 0/7 in the first 8 minutes and I did in fact lose a game a few days ago with an afk jungler - but I did go 13-6-18 in that game. It was just impossible to keep up with their split push I think they had a shen or TF who was always wrecking a lane. I'm thinking of buying twitch so that no one on my team goes afk or trolls.
